She rolled her eyes and laughed. His confidence towards winning, the girls found funny. As Sam was starting up the game, the girls made up a plan so that Sam would take out second place and have to buy the girls ice cream. Ellie would be pretending to play well but really be spending the whole time trying to inch closer to Sam - which she was very on board with - and get him so distracted that Charlie would be able to take out the win.
The game started and Sam was easily in the lead so Ellie put in action their plan. She moved closer and closer to him and right when it got to the end, she kissed him on the cheek. It made him turn his eyes away from the screen to look at her while Charlie snuck in and took the lead. "Ha! Look at the standings. Look who has to buy ice cream." Charlie grinned and Ellie guilty smiled with her.

Sam looked at the screen, shocked that they just played him. "That's not fair! Ellie distracted me!" He said. "But since i'm fair, I'll buy you guys ice cream. Where do you wanna go?" He asked, ashamed that he actually lost the game.

"Excuses excuses!" The girls laughed. Of course he was great about it and still offered to get them the prize. "Wherever the ice cream is the most expensive." Charlie remarked with a giggle. Both Ellie and Charlie were in hysterics by this time.. over nothing at all really. They all got into his car and sat in there talking whilst he went inside to get the ice cream.

"You guys are so cute." Charlie gushed. "I mean i can't believe I'm saying that, but it's true!" She laughed. "But now I feel forever alone. I mean first Jade, now YOU?!" She laughed at herself being dramatic.

"Shut up!" she laughed. "If anything, that will make him like you more.." she shook her head. "I forgot to tell you, he moved away. His mom got a really good job, and he had to go with cause he can't support himself." she said, rambling. "I just really want to move on.." she sighed.

She rolled her eyes. "Oh yeah, sure!". When she told her about Jake she frowned. "Well, that sucks. You two were so cute."

"Thanks.." Charlie half smiled. She sighed for a moment, "It feels like Jordan always somehow gets in the way. I just want to move on. Why can't he let me?" she said, letting out a huge sigh. She was so over it. All of it.

"He hasn't moved on so he doesn't want you to either." She sighed. They sat in silence for a bit before a huge grin came across Ellie's face. "You and Chris should get together! It'd be so cute and it's my best friends hooking up and you guys were starting to become close before everything went down hill over the last few months."

Charlie looked shocked when Ellie said that. I mean, sure Chris was cute, but she doubted he liked her. And she was pretty positive that he liked Ellie. "Ellie, wouldn't that be weird? I'm almost positive he likes you." she explained. "Plus, what makes you think he'd even be interested? We're friends."
