It was a strange feeling for Ellie. She left like she was somewhere between a sleep and being conscious. She could hear her surroundings but it was like she couldn't wake up. Ellie heard yelling. She recognised the voice. Charlie. She was telling someone to get out. Someone who was Jordan's girlfriend?. "Come on, Vic." She heard Jordan say. Woah, what? Jordan and Victoria?. Ellie listened to see who else was in the room. She heard Abby say that she felt like she needed to get a change of clothes. James offered to drive her home and then back. Back? Back where?. When she heard the door shut, she suspected they had left. Now who was here?. Charlie? Was she alone?. No. Faintly she could hear someone else talking to her. Ellie then recognised the voice. It was Alex.

Alex noticed that Ellie shifted which meant that she was conscious. He had a lot of hope right then. "Ellie?" he asked and looked at her. "Ellie are you awake?" he said and move a strand of hair out of her face. He didn't know if she would respond. Heck, he didn't even know if she was awake. He probably looked like a fool.

After Charlie yelled at Victoria and Jordan, her energy was gone. She wanted to be anywhere but here. She collapsed on one of the chairs and sat with her face in her hands, crying. She wanted out. Out of this hospital. Out of the school. Out of Kingswood. Then Alex said that Ellie woke up, and told Charlie to grab a nurse. She rushed out of the room, and told one of the assistants who had the nurse come rushing in. Charlie hoped that she really was awake.

Ellie's eyes fluttered open to see Alex staring back at her. A smile grew across his fast. The sweetest smile she had ever seen. When seeing a nurse on the other side of him, she realised that she was in the hospital. Her eyes examined the white room and then went back to Alex's. "W-What happened?". Everything in her body was hurting. She then saw Charlie standing on the other side of the bed, happy tears in her eyes. Ellie reached up to touch her hand and forced a smile across her face.

Alex smiled he was so happy that she came out of her coma. He hugged her quickly and kissed her on the cheek. "We were so worried." he told her. "They said you were driving and you got hit by an oncoming car." he told her so she could process that.

Her eyes widened as she registered what Alex had said. "Oh.." She said as all of the memories became to flood back. She hadn't been eating. Her vision had gone funny. She lost control. Ellie's attention went to the nurse, "Am I ...okay?" She asked, confused, unsure if any serious had been done. "What about the other driver?! Is he okay?". Her worries went out to him.

"The doctor said that you could be in a coma for days. But since you're up now, everything should be fine. Does your was hurt?" the nurse asked Ellie. "They didn't tell us if the other driver is okay. But you're car was more damaged, so I'm assuming he is alright."

Ellie nodded her head, "Everything hurts.. my head.. I can't think properly.". She managed to let out a slight laugh but even that hurt. Her breathing normalized when Alex told her that there had been no news on the other driver. That must mean he was okay. Thank god, she thought.

"Well, we'll give you some medication for that. The doctor also said that your blood sugar was low, so you're gonna need to eat something before you can be medicated." the nurse said, and walked out to get what she needed. Alex froze a bit when the nurse mentioned her low blood sugar. He had a flashback of when she barely ate her yogurt on their first date.This couldn't be coincidental. He bit his lip and sighed. "Ellie are you okay?"

She bit her lip as the nurse walked out. She remembered the blurry visions as she saw trying.. oh god. Not eating had caused this accident. Her eyes went to Alex who seemed to be putting all the pieces together. Ellie just shook her head quietly. She pulled out her medical records that was sitting on the end of the bed. She opened it up and it spoke about her recent hospitals. They had diagnosed her bulimic (which she already knew) and the doctor had written some notes. It explained all about after she would eat, she would force herself to vomit or just not eat at all. She handed the open record to him and pointed to where he should read. This would explain everything. She couldn't even look to see his reaction. He would be disgusted in her. She just knew he would.

Charlie bit her lip and looked at her friend, Ellie. She could tell that she was scared of what he would think. Alex opened the folder to look through the medical records and lost his breath for a moment. "Ellie?" he questioned. He couldn't look at her yet, or he might break down. As he kept reading, his sadness almost went to anger. "Why are you doing this? Do you want to die!?" he asked her, and looked at her. He didn't want to make her feel worse, but he couldn't help but ask her.

Ellie watched as his expression when from sadness to anger. She winced as he spoke to her, he must have been completely disgusted in her actions. He asked if she wanted to die and she paused. Staring back at him, frozen. Is this what she wanted?. She couldn't find the words to speak up and Alex got the message. She wanted to be thin and if she died trying she'd be okay with it.

Alex realized he got more frustrated than he should have. But, how could he night? the girl that he possibly could be with, and wanted to be with,wanted to die. He took a deep breathe, trying to find the right words to say. He eventually spoke "I know you don't see it..but you're beautiful. And you're thin enough as it is..." he paused. "Why would you want to die because of that reason?" he stated/asked. He hoped he wasn't crossing any lines.

Her eyes closed slowly. How could she explain this to Alex?. This was something that she didn't even understand herself. She placed her finger tips lightly on his hand and smiled weakly. "Thank you for saying that.". Even thought she knew they were all lies. "I want to die.. b-because that's everything I'm not. I'm not thin. I'm not beautiful. I'm.. nothing."

"But is it really worth your life?" he asked her. "Why cant you see how beautiful you already are?" he said. "You don't need to change, for me or anyone else." he explained.
