"Yes!" Sean laughed, high fiving her. "I mean, I don't see what's fun about it. Everyone ends up in huge fights." He shrugged, walking up towards the counter. "What would you like?"

"I agree!" Charlie said. "It's just stupid, and it's the reason I'm here, soo..not a fan." She explained. "Hm, a chocolate dipped cone please." She grinned.

"One chocolate dipped cone and one vanilla cone with rainbow sprinkles." Sean smiled. He looked at Charlie while the man behind the counter made his order. "Alcohol is the reason you're here?" He asked, slightly confused.

"Aww, rainbow sprinkles!" She laughed a little. Then he asked about the reason why I'm here. I must've let that slip. Crap. "I'll tell you outside." She told him as they got their ice cream and sat at a table. "Back home, my friends were, weird. They did alcohol and drugs, I never did that stuff. Maybe a sip of alcohol, but that was it. One day, the cops caught them. I did nothing wrong, but i was associated with the kids, so I got in trouble. So, my parents shipped me off here, to be with my grandparents, and stay out of trouble." She explained.

Sean nodded, carefully listening to Charlie. "I'm sorry all of that happened." He frowned. "But think on the bright side!" He said, licking his ice cream. "If you didn't move here, you wouldn't have ice cream right now!"

Charlie laughed at what Sean said. "I guess that's true. Just gotta focus on the bright side." She smiled. "But I can't get in any more trouble, and that's going to be near to impossible being in this town." she explained to him.

"Well if you ever feel lile you're in trouble," Sean grabbed a napkin and a pen from his pocket. He scribbled down his phone number and slid the napkin to Charlie."Don't hesitate to call." Sean laughed.

"Seriously?" She asked, "Thank you." She smiled. "I would give you my cell, but I don't have one." She sighed. "But I appreciate this. It's so hard to steer clear of all of this.."

"It's fine." Sean laughed a little. "Tell me about it. I feel like all anyone does is get drunk now."

"Right?!" She agreed. "I mean I get it, we're teenagers and you only live once, but why can't we live without getting drunk every night?" She said, explaining her point.

"I feel like you're taking the words right from my brain." Sean laughed. Him and Charlie were actually really similar.

"Good!" She laughed. "It makes me happy to know that someone else has the same views I do!" She licked her ice cream. "it's hard for me to trust people in the first place..all this crap doesn't help." She explained.

"Thank goodness!" She smiled. "So did you get a hold of your parents? Tell them you're all settled in?" She asked him.

"I talked to them last night, actually." Sean smiled. "Only for a few minutes. The time differences suck." He laughed a little.
