She had to giggle. Alex was very brave to just sit and take all the girly crap she teased him with. They began to play the game and in the end, Alex actually managed to beat her. Of course, Ellie didn't let him glow in his victory, she claimed she had simply let him win.

"BOOM!" "I do not believe that for a second." he laughed. He got a little stuffed animal and gave it to her. "For you." he presented it like it was a ring or something. It was safe to say, he didn't mind being absolutely ridiculous.

Ellie rolled her eyes as if to brush off the ridiculous idea that Alex had actually beaten her. She grinned and gave him a peck on the cheek as a thank you for the stuffed bear he won.

He smiled as she kissed him. "I'll give you a chance to redeem yourself." he said jokingly, and headed over to some more games. This one, you had to toss a ring around a bottle. Seemed easy enough. Alex tried throwing the ring and only got one. He put his head down in shame, as Ellie won, and got every single ring around the bottle.

"Just to add to your shame, I did that with two fractured ribs which made throwing quite hard." Ellie laughed, making sure he knew just how much he had sucked at this game. She received her prize from the man running the booth and handed hers to Alex, just as he had with his winnings. Her prize - now belonging to Alex - was a football. It seemed quite fitting. Bring back a little of his masculinity.

Alex smiled a bit. "Well thanks for the football. I feel a bit more manly now." he laughed. "No fair...I've never played that game before...sooo...not my fault I'm awful." he said coming up with excuses as to why he lost.

Ellie grinned, feeling accomplished after his manly comment. She patted his head. "There there. It takes pure greatness to beat a pro and you managed to do it.. once."

"Hey, you beat me once as well. I might add." he laughed a bit. "One last game?" he asked. "You choose it. Winner wins altogether!"

She looked around and picked a random game. One that had been close by to where they had been standing. It was been like a simple game of darts - although you had more than three darts at a time. Two players stand side by side, throwing as many darts as they can at their own individual dart board. In the end, the player who scores the most points wins a prize. In the end, to Ellie's shame, Alex one. She blamed her stupid ribs for her inaccuracy and wallowed in her defeat.

"Hey..don't look so sad. You still get the stuffed animal." This time, it was a huuuge stuffed bear. "You can put it on your bed and cuddle with it at night." he smiled, and laughed a little. "How are you feeling?" he asked her. He noticed she looked a little run down.

Finally, she had to be honest with Alex. She couldn't really keep the act up much longer. "I'm in a lot of pain." She sighed. "I guess I can't just solider on through it like I hoped I could.".

"I knew it." he told her. "Why didn't you just tell me from the beginning?" he asked. "I probably made it so much worse." he said.

Ellie shook her head. "No, it just came on.". A little white lie so that he didn't feel guilty couldn't hurt, right?. "I think I'd better go home." She sighed. "But.. you can stay with me.. if you like. We could watch a movie there or something." She then realised that he had work fairly sure and Ellie shook off the idea. "Never mind. I forgot."

"No-no it's okay." he told her, "I mean, i can go and hang out for a little bit. Work doesn't start for another hour and a half. That's the length of a movie, right?" he smiled.

She smiled and nodded her head. They made their way back to Alex's hair. He put the key into the ignition and started to drive towards Ellie's house.
When they arrived, Ellie wondered had Alex been to her house.. well, mansion before?. She wasn't sure. He helped her out of the car and they walked into her empty house. Abby must have been out with her boyfriend for the night.
