She shook her head. "You just don't see how attractive you are and the effect you have on every woman around you!". First he had Victoria all over him, now her nurse?. This was not e harmony! she thought.

Alex laughed again. "Please! Once we leave this hospital and go somewhere, you'll see guys stare at you allllllllll the time." he told her. "You just don't see how attractive you are, and the effect you have on men around you!" he smirked, almost quoting her exactly.

Ellie's eyes narrowed knowing Alex was trying to avoid admitting that girls wanted him by turning it back on her. Moments later the nurse came back in, staring momentarily at Alex for letting Ellie know that she was now able to leave.
Before she left, Ellie put on some light make up trying to make herself look at least semi decent before they went to lunch. She got out her straightener and with great difficulty due to fractured ribs, Ellie curled her hair into loose curls letting them hang nicely over her left shoulder.
Alex helped Ellie into his car and then put the key into the ignition, getting ready to leave. "So, where are we going for lunch?" She asked him, smiling through some of the pain she was still holding.

He smiled helping Ellie into the car. He was happy she was finally out of that place. "I was thinking Panera?" He asked. "Is that alright?" he grinned.

She smiled and nodded. She wasn't entirely fussed about where they went to eat. Ellie had never been to Panera before so she was happy to see what it was like. Alex started the car and exited the hospital car park. She leaned her elbow on the window ledge and leaned against it, enjoying the peacefulness as they drove silently.

(do you have a panera?! ) They drove to panera and once they got there, Alex got out of the car and opened Ellie's door. "This place is really good. I think you'll like it." he smiled. They walked in, looked at the menu and then sat down waiting for their food to be served. "I'm so sorry you were stuck in that hospital all night." he said making small talk while waiting for their food.

(Haha nope, I googled it. Is it like a bakery cafe type thing?)
She shrugged her shoulders. Being in a hospital bed was somewhat like a second home now that she had been in there so often. "It's my own fault.." She sighed. Her not eating had blurred her vision and caused the accident. She could have been killed.. or killed someone else. Ellie shuddered at the thought.

( sort of! it has really good, the sandwiches are so good! & the mac and cheese is heavenlyyyyy. ah! i wish you guys had one! ) Alex sighed a bit. "You can't blame yourself." he told her. "It was just something that you struggled with..but you'll come back from it." he told her, trying to smile. It meant a lot to him that she was trying to get better.

(Ah! Sounds nice)
Ellie had to smile at the confidence that he had instilled in her. She just hoped that she wouldn't let him down by relapsing as she had many times when trying to make a recovery. The food arrived and Ellie's primary instinct was too push it away. Not have it sitting in her stomach but she was trying to get better and for Alex's sake, she slowly ate.

(it is! and they have like baked goods. So cookies, brownies all the good stuff! ) Alex noticed Ellie's battle with the food that was set in front of her, but half-smiled once she started eating. Alex took a bite of his sandwich, and took a sip of his soda. "So how's your ribs?" he asked. "While you were changing, the nurse told me that you were in a bit of pain this morning."

Ellie bit her lip. She hadn't wanted Alex to know that she was in any pain. It'd only make him worry about her when he didn't need to be. "Oh, yeah, they're fine. The pains only dull so I barely know it's there unless I do sharp turns or like.. cough.". Ellie poured her soda can into a glass and took a sip. "Hows your sandwich?"

"Okay...just making sure." he told her, still unsure. Alex took another bite, and waited to swallow. "It's pretty good." he smiled. "How's yours?" he asked.

She smiled. "Mine too. I'll have to come here more often.". Ellie remembered often driving past the place but never thought to go inside. They ate in silence for the next couple of minutes before Ellie broke it. "So, you've been here a little while now, missing home?"

"I mean, you would think so, right?" he told her. "But I really like it here." he smiled and looked at Ellie. "Having you here helps a little too.." he grinned.

Ellie felt her cheeks go a light shade of pink. He always said the sweetest things to her. "Well, I'm really glad you're here." "But, why'd you pick Kingswood? Of all places..?". It was something she'd always wondered but never asked him. Did he have the same misleading thoughts of it being as peaceful town as had Charlie's parents when they sent her to Kingswood?
