"You'll be fine!" she grinned. "I bet you'll love it. What are you studying?" she asked. "School has been..eventful." she laughed a bit.

"I'm sure I will be! Music education." Raya grinned. She laughed a little when she said it's been 'eventful.' "I'm sure it'll get better. Is there drama already?" She asked.

"That's right up your alley!" she grinned. "That's so amazing! I've heard this college actually has a great program." she told her. "You could say that.." Charlie sighed. "A lot of mean girls, and boys who are just..complicated." she explained. She doubted Raya wanted to hear some long drawn out story about her problems in high school.

"Exactly!" Raya laughed a bit. "That's what I heard too, so i'm sure i'll fit in great. I'm excited to make a career out of it!" She grinned. "Aww, i'm sorry. I really wish there could be some way to get around all that.. mean girls and complicated boys. But honestly, if you ever need someone to talk to, i'm always here to listen!" She told her.

"That's so great that you're doing something you love, though!" she smiled. "I can't wait for college." "Thanks...did you deal with that in high school?" Charlie asked.

"It's going to be so much different then high school. I think i'm going to regret not living in a dorm room, but i'll get over it. It's cheaper this way." She laughed. "Where are you thinking of going to college?" Raya asked her. When Charlie asked if Raya dealt with any of that in high school, she laughed a little. "Ohh yeah. That's why my mom is literally one of my best friends. She saved me so many times when I needed it. There were so many mean girls, and it seemed like all they cared about was hurting me. And guys, they are all complicated, I just feel like they all either want sex, or they never tell you what they want which makes a relationship difficult." She said, sighing. She laughed a little, "Sorry, I had to rant a little. High school was hell for me."

Charlie shrugged. "To be honest, I have no idea where I want to go.." she sighed. "I guess I'll figure it out within the next year or so." she explained. Charlie listened to what Raya said, and she felt bad for her. "I'm sorry. I agree with what you said about guys though..they don't say what they mean, and then you're stuck guessing." she added. "It's fine!" charlie laughed a bit. "High school is hell." "What did those mean girls do to you?" she asked.

"Are you thinking of staying around here?" She asked. "They seriously didn't everything you see in the movies, they put their lunch in my hair, left me crying and eating in the bathroom, I stayed home for days because I didn't want to go to school. The bad thing is, is I don't know why they were doing it. They had no reason to, at least I didn't think they did. My brother defended me a lot, but it did nothing. It was terrible.."

"I mean, I'd like to." she told her. "I guess it all depends on what happens within the next few years." Charlie listened to Raya's stories about the mean girls, and she couldn't believe it. "I can't believe they did that to you. I'm so sorry." she told her. "I know what you mean, though. I don't understand why people are bullies..what my mom always told me was that they were jealous of me. But i never understood that."

"Yeah, that makes sense." She said. "Thanks, I don't understand either. That's what my dad said, 'oh they are jealous of you.' I never believed him either. They have nothing to be jealous of." Raya said. She hated even thinking of back to that time.

"Okay that's sooo not true." Charlie told her. "You're gorgeous, AND you sing & play guitar..they probably wish they could." she grinned. "I wish there was a way to get them to stop, though." "The girls at my school...they're relentless."

She smiled a little, "Thanks. Same goes to you, you are absolutely gorgeous, and if any girl wants to pick on you, it's because they see you as a threat because you're prettier than them, and you're going to actually go somewhere in life." Raya smiled. "I know. I've told teachers, counselors, nothing has seemed to work. I just hope everything goes well for you this year!"

Charlie smiled as well. "Well, thanks." she told Raya. "I don't think that's why they hate me, though." she admitted. "I used to 'date' the captain of the basketball team, and when it didn't work out, they all made up rumors. They hated me when I was dating him, and they hate me now,..for reasons I don't understand anyways." she explained.

"They probably hated you because you were dating him, and they were jealous. I don't understand why girls do that. Hate girls who date the guys they like.. but it's weird that they still hate you?" She said.

"Yeah..they still do." she sighed. "I don't know why, either. There was no point to it. I mean, ones the head cheerleader and the other was one of his ex's - also a cheerleader." she examined. "Sorry, I'm rambling!"
