"Really?! Yeah..I struggle with bar chords. I'm not that great yet." she laughed a bit. "But I want to hear you play!" she grinned. "I do." she smiled. "It's my ex..or whatever he was that pretty much caused a bunch of drama." she sighed thinking about Jordan. That thought needed to be buried.

"If you ever need help with them i can help you!" She smiled. Raya got nervous when Charlie said she wanted to hear her play. She's very insecure, about everything she does. That's why she's only sang in front of her parents, brother back home, a couple family members, and her best friend Abby. "Sure! I want to hear you play too. I'm sure you're great!" She smiled. Raya could tell that Charlie was still upset or sad about her ex. "Relationships suck." Raya laughed a little. "But i'm sorry. Nobody deserves to be treated like that. Do you two still talk?" She asked.

"Really? I'd love that!" she grinned. "Do you play any other instruments?" she asked. When Raya said relationships suck, Charlie nodded her head. "It's...complicated." she let out a small laugh. "We don't as often as we used to.." she explained. "Did you leave a guy back home?" she asked her.

"I just play the guitar and piano. I've tried other things, but i'm terrible at them!" She laughed. "what instruments do you play?" She asked her. As Charlie explained her and her ex's situation, she nodded. "Maybe it's good that you guys aren't together if he brings a lot of drama. But I don't know the whole story, so I probably shouldn't say anything." Raya laughed a little. Then she asked about a guy back home. Raya shook her head. "Not at all. The last person I dated was my Freshman year. He was just a jerk and I didn't see it, until he started hitting on my best friend. But it was so hard leaving my best friend, I begged her to move with me. It didn't work." She smiled.

"I've played piano since I was little, so that and guitar." she laughed, at how similar they were. "I tried playing the uke, it didn't work out so well." Charlie bit her lip. "Well..it's just one of those situations where you know he's bad for you but you can't help but like him anyways." she shrugged. Charlie listened to her story about her ex. "I'm so sorry." she told her. "Guys can be such..jerks!" she said. "And I'm sorry you had to leave your best friend. It's no fun." she sighed.

"That's awesome! We definitely have to play together sometime. Do you write songs too?" Raya asked, curious. She nodded, "I'm sorry about that, hopefully you'll find a nicer guy soon!" She said, and meant it. Raya shrugged, "I mean.. I was a freshman and thought i was in love. But I was definitely not." She laughed a little. "That was probably one of the hardest parts about moving. Leaving her, my brother and my mom... and my cat." Raya sighed. "Where did you live before here?" She asked.

"Definitely!" Charlie smiled. "A little bit..they're not any good though. I mean, i haven't played them for anyone." she told her. "How about you?" When Raya said she'd find a nicer guy, Charlie nodded. Jordan was perfectly nice..he just had his issues. "Yeah, that must be hard. My best guy friend lives here and he's from Ireland, and in that same situation." she told her. "I lived in Florida..this is a bit of a change." she laughed a bit.

"I so want to hear them! I'm sure they are excellent. I write songs in my 'diary' but don't do anything with them. I've sang a couple to my mom but that's it." Raya said. Then Charlie said her best guy friend moved here from Ireland. "Ireland? That's amazing! But i'd be terrified. Does he have family down here?" She asked. "Florida? I've always wanted to go there!" She smiled. Charlie said how big of a change it was. Raya laughed, "I bet. What about you? Did you leave any guys back home?" Raya asked.

"I bet they're great! Does your mom like them?" she asked. "No, he doesn't." she explained. "Right?! I'd be so terrified too." She laughed a bit. "I didn't really leave anyone but my family behind." she told Raya.

"She loves them! I think she cries every time I sing her one of my songs.." Raya laughed a little. "That's awesome that he moved here from Ireland, though." She said. Charlie said she didn't leave anyone but her family behind, and I nodded. "That's good at least."

"Awhh!" Charlie said referring to Raya's mom. "That's a good mom." she smiled "I know! I wish I was from there. Or from some interesting place like that!" she grinned. "Yeah, I guess. There's just some days i wish i had my little brother here." she bit her lip. "But it's not like I have no family. So that's good."

When Charlie talked about her little brother, and wishing he was here, Raya instantly agreed. She nodded, "I know exactly what you mean. I think i'm missing my little brother more than anything.. I tried convincing him to finish high school here.. but it didn't work." She laughed. "It's just going to be so lonely without anyone here, you know?"

"I know what you mean." Charlie agreed. "I thought so too, but then I met some pretty cool people who are pretty much like my family." she grinned. " "You'll find some great friends here." she told her. "How old's your brother?" she asked since she mentioned he could finish off high school here.

"That's good! I hope so.." Raya bit her lip. "He's 17 years old, going to be a senior. So really he's only a year younger then me school-wise. We are total opposites, because i'm the more shy, kept to myself one.. and he's the one who goes to parties and has a good time with whoever he's with." She said, and looked down. She is so homesick right now. Her and her brother have been through a lot together. "How old is your brother?" She asked Charlie.

"You will." she reassured her. "Oh wow..that must be cool having a sibling so close in age." she smiled. "I know what you mean. I'm shy..but I warm up to people easily. You don't seem too shy." she told Raya. Which she meant as a compliment. "My brother is 13. Which is like one of the toughest years growing up..at least to me it was." she added.
