"It's amazing having a brother so close in age." Raya grinned. When she said Raya doesn't seem shy, she couldn't help but laugh a little. "I'm probably the shyest one in my family, but I can still have a good time if I want and meet new people." She explained. "Aww, is it tough for him right now?" Raya asked, about her brother. She definitely agreed about 13 being the toughest year growing up. That's when Raya found out who here true friends were, the hard way.

"I can't imagine." she told her. "Like, having someone to talk to at all times. And someone that actually understands." she explained. "Well, at least that's good. I used to be shy too..but i kind of just stopped caring what others thought. Middle school taught me that." she explained. "I mean..i don't know. He's just now having crushes..and i want to be there for him. But, I can't.." she bit her lip.

"I honestly don't know how I would've lived without him here with me. He's been there when everyone else hasn't.. and you're right, he understands because we are so close in age." She said. "That must be so tough, not being to be able for him.." Raya said.. unable to imagine not being there for her little brother.

"He sounds like a pretty great brother." she grinned. "That's cool that you guys are so close. Most siblings fight." she laughed a it. "Yeah, and i can't do anything about it. It's not like I can hop on a plane home." she sighed. "But it's okay..at least he's got my parents." she explained.

"Yeah.. maybe once he gets older he'll move out here?" She said. "But that's true.. he has your parents. Are they strict at all, or can you actually deal with them?" she laughed a bit.

"Well, I couldn't see him doing that." she stated. She didn't really know how to explain her situation. Cause she didn't even know how long she would be here for. "Oh, they're definitely strict." she explained. "What about yours?" she asked.

"Really? So do you like being on your own then?" Raya asked. "I guess my dad is way more strict then my mom, and my mom is more like my best friend. They actually just got a divorce a couple of days before i moved, so that's another reason why I dreaded leaving my brother there.. because it's going to be so different for him without my dad there. But it's probably for the better." She explained.

Charlie thought about it. "Sort of. There's times I still miss my parents..but i guess in a way it's better like this." she told Raya. She listened to her talk about her parents divorce. "I'm sorry." she bit her lip. "That's always hard. But at least you have technology, so you guys can at least talk to each other." she smiled, trying to make light of the situation. "Is he doing okay?" she asked.

"Yeah, I totally understand where you're coming from." She agreed. "Are you planning on visiting them anytime?" She asked. "I guess i'm not that worried, because I do know that I can still communicate with my dad.. and even my mom. I think my brother is doing okay, because my dad always took his madness and frustrations out on my brother, but there's always that whole that's missing inside when someone leaves, you know? I know somewhere he's hurting, even if he's denying it." She explained.

"I mean..If i can." she told her. The only way she'd be able to visit them, is if she was going back home. And that would be for good. "That's nice that throughout the chaos, you can still keep in touch." she smiled. "yeah, I feel like most boys cover up how they actually feel." she explained. "Like they wanna act like "tough guy" 24/7."

"I don't understand it, either!" she said. "Because then we think they're fine when they're definitely not!" she said. The conversation started to remind her of Jordan, which she did not want. "So when do you start school?" she asked.

"I know! They just never say what's on their minds." she said. Charlie suddenly changed the subject, it probably reminded her of someone. "I think on august 31st is my first day of school. What about you?"
