Since Ellie and Alex had confessed their feelings to each other, they hadn't really had a chance to talk about what that meant. Were they just gonna stay as friends as see where it goes or were they going to act on it?. Ellie wasn't sure. She invited him to go to the movies with her to see the new Spiderman movie with her which he agreed to do. Problem was, she didn't know if it was like a date or if they were just going as friends and honestly.. she didn't know if he knew either.
"Usually I hate remakes." Ellie said to Alex, as they held their popcorn and drinks in their hands as they walked into the theatre. Once they had found a perfect seat - close enough so that you could see it clearly but not too close so that you didn't strain your neck - they took a seat and Ellie continued. "Remakes usually ruin it but I think this one might actually be okay. Plus, Andrew Garfield's a babe so it'll be good either way!". She giggled knowing that was definitely what Alex would be looking for in this movie - Andrew Garifield's amazing butt. Ellie took a sip of her soda and she watched the people begin to bustle their way in trying to find a good seat.

Alex and Ellie were sitting in the theatre, and Alex didn't really know what this was. It seemed like a date, but he didn't want to make her uncomfortable. He figured he'd just see where the evening goes. Alex laughed a bit about her Andrew Garfield remark. "Emma Stone's in this movie right? She's not bad.." he smirked, basically saying what Ellie did about Andrew. The previews started and the lights dimmed. Alex saw a bunch of couples around, which put a little more pressure on him. Maybe he'd make a move, maybe not..

The lights dimmed down and Ellie put down her cup of soda, replacing it with a handful of popcorn. She chewed away as they watched the previews. The one for the new Batman movie came on. "My dad would have been so excited to see that. He loved those movies.". She laughed a little, trying to not let the sadness show through by the fact that he was no longer around to see it.

Alex realized that she used past tense, meaning her father was no longer alive. He instantly felt for her, and saw the sadness wash over her face. He thought he might skip the subject of her dad...for now. he didn't want to see her upset. "I can see why! Those movies were the best." he smiled. "It's weird watching the old versions, and then seeing the remakes now. Like this." he said, referring to the spiderman remake.

She nodded her head in agreement as she took another sip of her soda. "A lot of people at saying the Batman movie is like the movie of the year so that's pretty cool.". Once all of the previews had finished, the movie began to play. It started off with a him as a younger boy which was a little confusing but as the movie went on, the plot line began to become more clear.

"Wow, well good for Batman." he grinned and the movie started. Remakes were always confusing, cause you didn't know if they were gonna stick to the same storyline, or all the sudden change it. Alex sat there wondering if he should make a move or not..eh, probably not. After all, he didn't know if this was a date or not.. he bit his lip. "More popcorn?" he asked her, cause he was holding the bowl.

Ellie smiled politely towards Alex and took another handful of popcorn. "Thanks." She whispered softly, not wanting to disturb other sitting around them. As the movie progressed, Ellie found it hard to concentrate. Her mind kept on wondering towards if this was a date or not and if she was a fool for thinking it possibly could be.

Alex bit his lip realizing he was being a total wuss at the moment. The movie was almost over, and he thought it might be too late to make a move. He looked at the screen, and ate another handful of popcorn. Eventually the movie ended and they got up from their seats. "So..did you like the movie?" he asked her, as they walked into the lobby of the movie theater.

By Alex not inclining that he wanted to make a move Ellie was now sure that it hadn't been a date and just two friends hanging out. They got up out of their seats and headed towards the door as was everyone else. "Yeah, it was better than what I expected. Did you?" She asked him as they scrambled their way through the lobby.

Alex could see that Ellie looked a little let down. At the party, things seemed so much easier. "Yeah, I liked it. I think I liked it better than the first one!" he smiled. He realized he needed to make a move to avoid being friend-zoned. "Do you want to go grab some frozen yogurt?" he asked her.

"Me too!" She grinned. He asked if she wanted to grab some frozen yogurt and she said that it'd be nice. They got into a cab and got driven to the frozen yogurt place that was a just a few blocks away. It was closer enough to be in walking distance but it was a cold night, and Ellie didn't watch to catch a chill.
They walked in and ordered their frozen yogurts before taking a seat at one of the empty tables sprawled around the place. Having frozen yogurt brought back memories of Sean. It was were first everything started to.. happen but she tried to push the memories back. Once they had they had their frozen yogurts in hand, Ellie took a spoonful and slowly ate it. She let her mind wonder. Maybe it wasn't that bad if she let herself think about Sean. I mean, Alex is just a friend.

Alex was happy when she agreed to go to frozen yogurt with him. He felt dumb for passing up every opportunity he had to make a move. When they sat down at the table, he noticed she looked upset. He wasn't sure why. He took a bit of his frozen yogurt. "Ellie.." he paused. He had an idea. "You have a little frozen yogurt, here." he said and wiped it off the corner of her mouth. He figured he might as well be brave, now. He leaned in and kissed her, and hoped that she felt the same.

All all of thoughts about Sean just seem to fade away as Alex completely took Ellie by surprised when he leaned in to kiss her. She smiled a bit, "I've been waiting for you to do that all night." Ellie admitted, smiling. He smiled and this time, she was the one to lean in to kiss him.

She kissed him again and He smiled. "I've been waiting to, too." he told her. "I just didn't know if this was a date or not..but when I saw I sort of let you down..I figured I'd go for it." he smiled again.

She bit her lip. "You didn't let me down.." She told him, "I just, I didn't know if it was a date either so I guess by you not making a move that we were in the friend..zone."
