"I thought the exact same thing. So, I had to quickly change that." he laughed a bit. He knew that she had an ex, plus she was gorgeous..I mean, any guy would go out with her. "Sorry, i took so long." he smiled.

She laughed. At least they had both been thinking the same way. Ellie took another spoonful of her frozen yogurt and got out her phone. She quickly texted Charlie.
On a date with Alex. He kissed me! Eeep! 
Shen then quickly put her phone back into her pocket and looked up at Alex who was sitting across from her. "Wow, you eat fast." She observed. He had almost finished his while Ellie's cup looked full.

"I can't help it." he laughed. "I'm a growing boy!" he told her, laughing again. He looked across the table, and noticed she barely touched her frozen yogurt. "What kind did you get?" he asked her.

"Strawberry." She told him. Alex must have noticed that her frozen yogurt didn't looked touched but she figured he didn't have to know about why just yet. "What about you?" Ellie asked him.

"I got vanilla, with Oreos, gummy worms, chocolate chips and fruit.." he laughed a bit. "I don't eat very healthy, as you can see." he looked at her cup. She was barely eating, but he didn't want to bother her about it quite yet. But he still wanted to know if she was okay. "Are you alright, Ellie?" he asked her.

She laughed. His order was so complex compared to her plain strawberry one. He asked if she was okay and Ellie took another bite of her frozen yogurt to try and hide up that she wasn't eating. "Yeah, I'm fine. Why's that?" She asked him with a fake smile as if she didn't know. Alex's eyes went back to the frozen yogurt. "I just eat slow." She laughed.

Alex figured that must be the truth. I mean, why would she lie to him. "You just seem, upset?" he questioned. "what's on your mind?" he asked her.

Guilt washed over her as she realised that Alex had bought her lie. What if they went into a relationship? She didn't want to start that lying to him? ..but what if it scared him away?. Ellie smiled, "I don't know what you mean. I'm with you, I'm happy.". That was the truth. She was always happy around him.

Alex smiled at what she said, but he still noticed that she was a bit sad. He decided to ignore it and enjoy the rest of the night. "So since this is out first date, tell me about yourself." he smiled.

"Hmm.." She looked out the window of the shop, trying to think. Ellie looked back at Alex, "Well, I was born in England, My family is one of the richest in Amerca andddd I recently rejected a scholarship to Julliard.". Not exactly random, but they'll do. "Your turn." She smiled.

Alex smiled a bit, until she mentioned Julliard. "Wait, why did you reject a scholarship??" he asked her. She must have been very talented to not only get into that school, but get a scholarship. What would be holding her back.

She shrugged her shoulders a bit. "The timing just wasn't right. My sister too young to be here alone especially with my dad gone now and I can't just rip her away from her friends so she can move with me.". Again, Ellie shrugged her shoulders. "As I said, bad timing."

Alex thought about everything she said. "Well, you're a really good sister." he told her, trying to make her feel better. "Putting others before yourself..that's nice of you." he explained. Alex wasn't used to people putting others before themselves. his dad certainly wasn't like that.
