Every couple of months, Portman High School would hold a dance in the gym for their students and any plus one's. Ellie was super excited about the dance. Every year it was full of dancing, food, couples hooking up and people sneaking in alcohol. There was barely any supervision. The teachers would always go off and have their own little party. An hour or so before the party, she invited her friend Sienna around to her mansion so they could get ready together and slip in some pre drinks.
After the girls were ready, they both got into a cab and were taken to school. When exiting the car, you could hear the boom of the loud music from inside straight away. Ellie walked in wearing a tight black dress with platform pumps on her feet. In her hands was a a matching clutch bag and her cellphone in the other. She was hoping that the guy from the beach would be there.
About an hour into the party, everything went black and the music stopped. The students were informed that their was a huge storm outside and that until the storm passed, we were all locked inside for our own safety as there was dangerous weather conditions outside. Luckily, one of the students had their iPod and they were able to create a bit more atmosphere in the place. Ellie walked over to get a drink when she saw Sienna with a bottle of beer in her hand. "I haven't seen my beach guy yet." She sighed. She was sure that he was here. She really couldn't explain what her attraction to him was. There was just something about him that pulled her in.. but she was afraid that he was avoiding her. Sadness washed over her. [/size]

If there was one thing that Sienna loved about Portman High School, it was their bimonthly dances. They had little to no adult supervision, an amazing DJ, drinks for everyone, cute boys, and were the perfect excuse to break out cute dresses. Basically, they were everything Sienna loved and then some. Sienna wore a pretty one-shouldered purple dress and heels. Like most girls here, she was dressed to party. She and her new friend Ellie Mankelow had spent about an hour getting ready before the party. And, Sienna had to admit, they looked amazing.
However, they had only been at the dance for about an hour when everything went dark. Sienna had been standing near the drink table, flirting with a cute boy. She held a bottle of beer in her right hand, something that she had convinced the boy to give her just moments before the power went out. Thankfully, after several screams and a few seconds of silence, a faculty member came in to explain and they found someone's iPod for some music.
Sienna's cute guy, however, had disappeared in the darkness. She was about to go find her next potential bachelor when Ellie came over to see her. "Aw, honey, don't worry! Maybe he's just running late because of the weather?" Sienna smiled sympathetically at the girl. Ellie seemed to like her beach guy a lot and Sienna knew she had been looking forward to seeing him tonight. [/blockquote]

Ellie could sense that Sienna was trying to comfort her and she tried to take it on board but she felt as if the stars were against her and this mystery beach guy was not here tonight. Ellie reached over and grabbed a vodka cruiser from off the table and sculled half of it within one sip. "Who was that cute guy that you were talking to before?" She said nodding her head is his direction. The boy was now standing with slutty head cheerleader Tiffany. Ugh. She's a pain. [/size]

Sensing that Ellie didn't believe her, Sienna gave a teasing grin. "I bet you ten bucks he'll show up before the night is out. Or, I'll find you a different bou." Giggling to herself, she took a large swig from her beer. Then, noticing how quickly Ellie was drinking, she shook her head. "El, slow down. You're drinking like it's going out of style."
She followed her friend's gaze over to the cute boy that she had been talking to. Scrunching her nose slightly at the sight of Tiffany, Sienna rolled her eyes. "That's Brock. Obviously, he's got a sour taste in girls. Who's interested in Tiffany?" [/blockquote]

"Even if he does, look around! There's tons of stunning girls around here that would go crazy over him. He's not going to waste his time on me.". Self confidence had always been an issue for Ellie. That's why she tended to drink a lot of parties, it brought out her confidence and allowed her to do things she ordinarily wouldn't do.
"Go over there." Ellie pushed, "Make Tiffany have to really work for him. I bet you could have his tongue down your throat is a second compared to her.". She began to laugh at the sight. "Can you just imagine Tiffany's face?". It's so plastic it'd just been forzen. [/size]

Sienna shook her head, giving her friend a scrutinizing gaze. Ellie was gorgeous, she obviously didn't see that. Sienna fully intended to help her get a confidence boost around the guys. "El, don't be silly! You're way prettier then any other girl in this room. I bet half the guys in here would kill to be with you."
Sienna laughed at Ellie's idea, smirking lightly to herself. The idea of Tiffany's face did sound funny, but Sienna just turned back to Ellie. "How about you go over there? It'd be so unexpected from you, that Tiffany might die." Sienna giggled, nodding toward the two. If she was going to get her friend to gain confidence, she'd have to get her to start doing some ridiculous things. Brock just happened to be the perfect culprit. [/blockquote]

Ellie was taken back by Sienna's idea. Her instant reaction was, "No way, I can't do that!". After having seconds thought, Ellie realised this was completely out of character for her and this could be a great way to gain confidence. "Well, it would really stick it to Tiffany..." She grinned. Sienna pushed her forward and she then slowly made her way over to Brock. [/size]

Sienna giggled, clapping to herself as Ellie took her up on her suggestion. She had no worries about Ellie; if Brock liked Tiffany, he would probably faint over the fact that someone as pretty as Ellie was talking to him. She took a sip from her beer, watching Ellie and Brock.
Sienna watched as Brock turned to face Ellie when she approached them. "Hi," She could hear him say. "Ellie, right?" [/blockquote]

Ellie put her flirty face and smiled. "That's me." She said in a cute voice. A casual conversation began between the two of them and she was able to see the shock on Tiffany's face appear. Brock and herself were totally shunting her out of any chance of making her way into the conversation and she was hating it. Ellie took a sip of her vodka cruiser and caught eyes with Sienna. She winked and slightly nodded her head towards Tiffany. They both shared a laugh and Ellie looked back at the extremely cute guy she was talking to. From the corner of her eye, she could see Tiffany rolling her eyes and walking away. Ellie couldn't help herself but let out a little giggle. Luckily the timing fit in right as Brock had just said something that he thought was humorous. [/size]

Charlie arrived to her grandparents house, about a day before the dance. She didn't even have a chance to go to school or meet any of her classmates. Her grandmother knew there was a dance tonight, and forced Charlie into going. "It will be fun! A chance to meet some people!" She said with her perky voice. Charlie rolled her eyes, and tried to argue, but it was no use. Within minutes Charlie was in her room getting ready. Charlie drove, but got her driving privileges taken away after an..incident. so, her grandmother had to drive. Thankfully the dance already started, so no one would see Charlie get out of her grandmother's beat up car. Charlie got out of the car, and slowly walked up to the door, sighing. She opened the door, and it was just as she imagined. Typical high schoolers, mingling and dancing. Except one thing was unusual, there was alcohol. Charlie walked through the door, and straight to the drinks. The first thing she saw was a water, she grabbed it and stood next to a girl who looked around her age. She was looking at a girl, and a guy talking. Charlie talked to the girl who was staring, "Is that your friend?" She asked, trying to make conversation. [/blockquote]

Sienna giggled at her friend's antics as Tiffany stormed off. Brock seemed to be wrapped around Ellie's finger already, but Sienna didn't blame him; Ellie was gorgeous, whether she knew it or not. Plus, Ellie was a lot less of a flirt, it seemed, then Sienna or Tiffany. What guy wouldn't like Ellie? Sienna gave her a thumbs up sign once she caught her friend's gaze. She was a natural.
Sienna was surprised, however as she heard another voice approach her. A girl stood there and, surprisingly, she looked unfamiliar. Being quite the socialite, Sienna knew nearly everyone in the school. She was surprised that she couldnt recall this girl's name. "yeah," she agreed, her gaze shifting back to Ellie. "that's my friend, Ellie." turning back to the newcomer, Sienna shifted her beer to one hand and grinned. "have we met? I'm sorry, I can't seem to recall your name..." [/blockquote]

Charlie watched the jock, who looked like he was really into the girl. "Is that her boyfriend?" She asked the blonde. Again, just trying to make conversation. Then the girl asked if they've met. "No, I'm brand new..as in, yesterday." Charlie responded, and laughed a little. She always laughed when she was uncomfortable. "I'm Charlie." She shook the girls hand. "And you?" She asked. The girl asked if Brock was Ellie's boyfriend. Sienna glanced in that direction for just a second; Brock was clearly into Ellie, since he was still rambling away to her. It was a logical assumption. "It's kind of complicated between them," Sienna shrugged. She didn't think it was a good idea to explain that they were directly leading Brock on. That fell under the category of 'complicated,' didn't it?
She shrugged it off as the girl introduced herself. She moved here yesterday? That was about as new as you could get. Shaking Charlie's hand, she smiled warmly. "Sienna Rhodes. Welcome to the area, Charlie!" She took a drink of her beer now, nodding toward Charlie's water. "You don't drink?"

Charlie smiled. Sienna actually seemed pretty nice, which judging from her appearance, you would not think that at first. That was something to remember, never judge a book by it's cover. Charlie looked down at her water, slightly embarrassed. "No, not really." She stopped, and tried to plan out perfectly what she was going to say."I have before, but I got in a lot of trouble." She said, keeping from going into detail. "But out of curiosity, why is there alcohol here anyways? Isn't it a school dance?" She asked, genuinely curious. [/blockquote]

Sienna was rather surprised by the fact that Charlie didn't drink. Every kid at the school seemed to drink. Maybe it had something to do with growing up in the spotlight; maybe it was just their looser rules. Whatever the reason, Sienna didn't think anything of underage drinking. In fact, she was surprised by Charlie's question.
"Well, yeah. But," well-off schools don't have to follow the rules. Sienna mentally finished the statement, but decided to change it before she voice it. "The faculty here don't give a damn what we do. As long as the law doesn't show up, they let us mind our own business. One of the perks of a wealthy school, I guess." She grinned, giving a small shrug. [/blockquote]
