Charlie felt kind of stupid when she realized what she was doing. Every single person in this room drank. Sienna probably thought Charlie was so naive. Charlie sighed to herself and listened to what Sienna had to say. Charlie was shocked. "Wha-Really?" she asked, honestly surprised. "I guess at my old school, if even the teachers caught you you were expelled. If you were lucky, you'd get suspended." [/blockquote]

Charlie was clearly surprised, Sienna grinned at the girl in hopes of making her feel a little better. This was second nature to her; she almost assumed every school was like Portman High. So, as Charlie explained about the old school, Sienna couldn't help but to laugh. "Seriously? Did you like go to a nun school?" It was hard to believe for a girl that had always been around drinking in schools that any school would be so strict as to expell a kid for drinking. That was cruel. [/blockquote]

Charlie began to feel odd..again. I mean, drinking and schools were never mixed. "Yes, I went to a nun school." Charlie said, sarcastically and laughed. "No, it was a normal public high school. I mean kids tried to bring drugs and alcohol to school, but they never got away with it." Charlie's explained. It seemed weird that outside of her public school, we're schools like this.

"Wow," Sienna gasped at Charlie's confession. Schools were actually that strict? "Are you serious? How in the world did you make it in that school?" Sienna had to admit, she was suddenly quite thankful for the fact that her parents were too stuck up and fortunate to allow her to go to public school. She had t realized how good they have it.
Pausing to consider this, she took a long swig of her beer. "What little town are you from anyhow? And how in the world did you end up here?" she was genuinely curious now. Charlie was definitely unique for the area.

"Yeah, they were! Or..are." Charlie laughed. "I don't know, actually. I guess I was just focused on other things. My friends did that stuff a lot, i was around it all the time. But never really partook." Charlie explained. She probably looked so "goody-two shoes".
"I'm actually from Memphis, Tennessee. It is a very small town." Charlie told Sienna. "And I'm..visiting my grandparents, for a while." Charlie explained, not wanting to go into further detail. [/blockquote]

Sienna was still rather surprised by Charlie's words. It seemed strange that anyone could go to a school that was so sheltered. "So, the drinking and partying thing is all new to you? Welcome to California. I doubt you'll steer clear of it for long. No offense. Just everyone seems to get sucked up in it." she shrugged, pretending it was no big deal.
"Aw, it's so nice of you to come spend time with your grandparents." Siena grinned, genuinely meaning her words. Though, Charlie was starting to seem like more and more of a goody-two-shoes. "how long are you staying? Obviously long enough to enroll in school here, I guess."

I laughed a little. "Maybe I will..we'll see." Charlie told her. Little did she know, Charlie had to steer clear of that stuff, or she'd be in so much trouble. Her parents sent her here, to get her away from the people who were doing that stuff. "Thanks!" Charlie grinned, thinking each word coming out of her mouth made her look even more goody-goody. "Yeah, for about the rest of the year. Possibly longer." Charlie explained.

"That's dedication," Sienna stated as Charlie told her how long she'd be staying with her grandparents. Charlie must really like her grandparents; if Sienna had to spend that long with her grandmother, she'd go insane. "Do you know anyone else in town? Or are your grandparents just that awesome that you wanted to board with them? Totally understandable, either way." She laughed. [/blockquote]

Charlie laughed at Sienna's comment. Sienna was the type of person who was so sarcastic, that you didn't know whether or not to take her comments as an insult or joke. Charlie decided to play along. "Well, my grandparents are pretty awesome..but I'm not up to spending every waking moment with them." She said. "I haven't met anyone yet..actually, this is pretty much my first outing since I've been here." The short, brunette explained. [/blockquote]

"Seriously?" Sienna was surprised that Charlie would choose to come to school so soon after moving here. She had to admit, the school was the last place she would choose to be. "Well, then, I'm happy to be your first official friend here in Kingswood! I've lived here most of my life, so I know the area pretty well. Maybe I could show you around or something tomorrow?" [/blockquote]

"Well, my grandma kind of forced me to come tonight. So, it wasn't really my choice." she explained. "Sounds great!" She grinned. "I don't know where anything is." [/blockquote]

"Makes sense. Besides, this way, you got to meet me," Sienna winked, giggling at herself now. Grinning at her new friend, she added. "How about a sleepover this weekend? Or tonight, since I have the house to myself. We'll make a day of the tour! And, I guarantee it'll get your grandparents off your back!" If there was one thing Sienna loved, it was sleepovers. She adored any type of gathering, though. [/blockquote]

"Sounds great!" Charlie grinned. "I don't think my grandma would mind, sense the whole reason I'm here is to 'make friends'." Charlie explained. [/blockquote]

"Great! What do you say we ditch the remainder of the dance? My mom's house is empty this weekend, and that means we have the indoor pool to ourselves." Sienna grinned, nodding toward the door. "Just let me go catch Ellie quick and we can bail, if that's okay with you? I can even drop you by your grandparents' house, should you wanna check in?" [/blockquote]

Indoor pool..wow.. Charlie thought to herself. "Sounds good! And that's absolutely fine with me." She laughed. "She rather not be surrounded by a sea of people she didn't even know." "Yeah, that's probably a good idea, don't wanna get into any trouble." She told Sienna, as she walked to go say goodbye to her friend, Ellie. [/blockquote]
