Jordan was startled by the touch from Charlie. "Oh, um, yeah.. that'd be great thanks.". He grabbed his plate and stood up whilst Charlie sat down in his place. Filing into the kitchen, he pilled up his plate and then made his way back. As he was walking over, he saw April reach out and wrapped her little hand around Charlie's finger and started giggling and kicking her legs out in glee. "Wow, she's never this good with meeting people for the first time." Jordan commented.

Charlie sat with April and couldn't help but smile because she was absolutely adorable. She was beautiful too. Charlie played peek-a-boo and she giggled and held onto her finger. "Really?" she asked. "Hmm, she hasn't let go." she laughed a little, but caught herself and stopped. "I uh..gotta go in the kitchen." she grabbed her plate, and walked into the kitchen. She found Jade and ran up to her. "I...can't do this." she admitted. "I know. SO pathetic. But I think I'm going to leave." she bit her lip.

Jade had been so preoccupied with Wesley on her mind that she hadn't noticed how Charlie wasn't handling it. She took her hand and walked her into the bedroom before she could go anywhere just yet. "Is it Jordan? What happened?"

"I-I don't know. We were just talking and i felt this need to just leave.." she paused, and shook her head. "Back at the police station..when he was arrested. I made a deal with Vic. I told her I'd leave him alone, and Jordan would be hers if she pulled some strings to get him out of jail. I'm not even supposed to be talking to him. If I do, and she finds out, she could easily make his life hell." Charlie bit her lip.

She couldn't hide the surprise off her face. It all made sense. The way the police had just let Jordan go out of no where always struck Jade as being odd but Victoria had strings in high places. "What a little bitch! Does Ellie know about this.. does Jordan?" "You can't let her get away with this."

"No, and I highly doubt it." she continued biting her lip. The nerves were kicking in. "I have to, Jade. And honestly, what am I going to do?" she asked her friend, trying to get her to think realistically. "I don't want to risk getting her pissed, and who knows what she would do." she said with a sigh.

Jade sighed. What could she do? Jordan had a family now. A family based on lies. "She married him and had a baby with him. She got him so why would she try to ruin him now?" "They've found Jordan to be innocent and locked away the real nut job. She has no power over you now."

Charlie paused and pondered all the possibilities. Maybe Jade was right. Charlie spoke again, "I just don't want to make anything worse." she bit her lip. "I'll go back out there, and sit next to him and act like everything's fine.." she felt awful for making Thanksgiving about her drama. "But after tonight, I'm not speaking to him again." she sighed heavily.

"Charlie, you can't just cut him out of your life. It's not what you want and not want he wants either. You're just hurting the both of you." Jade sighed. "You do know that ring was meant for you.. right?"

Charlie cringed at the thought of being engaged to Jordan. "Maybe..but that would have never worked." she paused. She didn't want to have to explain to Jade why she was so reluctant to speak to him...even if she was right. "Thank you for talking to me. You should probably get back to Wesley." she smiled and walked back out to the kitchen. After filling their plate with food, she went back to her seat. Being around Jordan, and around his baby was so awkward. But she just had to deal. "So when's the wedding?" she blurted out.

Jordan finished chewing what he'd been eating before looking up at Charlie. "Oh, um, it's not going to happen.. we called it off." He muttered.

Charlie's eyes opened wide. "What...?" She paused, and took a sip of her water. "Why?" Charlie knew she should probably be relieved , but she wasn't.

He gave a shrug of his shoulders nonchalantly. "Things just weren't working out." "I'm trying to make the seperation as easy as I can on Vic so that she doesn't threaten to take away this little one from me." Jordan said looking over at April with eyes full of joy. "That's why it's not public knowledge. It's how she needs it.. with her reputation and everything."

"Oh, I see." She asked and took a bite of her food. "I'm sorry." When she said that, she genuinely meant it. Although she wasn't close with Victoria, she wanted him to be happy. "How did she take it?" She asked. It was weird asking about his breakup, but she figured she should know.
