One of the best things about Portman High was how relaxed they were with their study lessons. As long as the student's weren't making huge distractions for the teachers, you could basically do your own thing. Phones, laptops and iPod's were all allowed.
Jordan walked into into his study lesson and took a seat in his usual spot right in the back corner. He got out his phone and began to update his twitter when he looked up and saw (next poster) walk into the room.

Charlie was an absolute mess on her first day at the new high school. First, she couldn't get into her locker, then she dropped her books all over the floor, and lastly walked into the wrong classroom. Eventually she found her way, and found the correct classroom. She walked in the classroom, and most people were on their cellphones, laptops or listening to music. Odd. Charlie quickly took a seat in the back, she never liked the front. She looked to her right and saw a boy looking at her. She quickly opened her notebook, and started doodling. [/blockquote]

(Woah, big hahahah) Jordan looked over to his left and saw a girl sit down beside him. She looked really confused by the whole set up. "You new?" He asked.

Jordan chuckled slightly, "You'll get used to it eventually." "This place is probably a lot less... strict than your last school.". You'd think with this being a high up private school, they'd be increasingly strict. But I guess, since our parents pay so much money, they let us do what we want.

"I hope so.." she groaned. "I've already walked into the wrong class..TWICE." She said, and shook her head. "So I've heard." She sighed a little bit. She was starting to think that her parents sent her to Kingswood as a joke. I mean, seriously? How could they have not known that this place was full of party people. "I was at that dance on Friday, I think it was..not many rules." She laughed slightly. [/blockquote]

He laughed at her comments about the dance. "I guess they're just trying to prepare us for what's to come. So that we are able to make the right choices later on in life." "But most of us just run with it and go over board.". Jordan especially.

"For what's to come? I mean it seems like it already..came." She explained. There was less rules and more drinking in this town, then any other town she's been in. "But, you make a good point." She smiled. "Yeah, I saw a bit of that at the dance too." She laughed a bit. [/blockquote]

"Guessing you're not a fan of the whole underage drinking party scene then?". Or maybe it was just something she wasn't used to yet.

Crap. It's not like she looked like a goody-two shoe's enough already. Charlie thought for a second, "Actually, all my friends back home drank a lot. I guess it just wasn't this extreme?" She explained. "I don't know, maybe it's because it's happening at school, and I'm not used to that?" She said, trying to explain this even to herself. [/blockquote]

"Relax, you don't have to explain anything to me. I get it, people are into different things, its just.. maybe Kingswood isn't the place for you.". It'd be pretty tough on her and if she wasn't into that it may be hard for her to find her way to fit in. "Not everyone's like that here though. Most people drink but a lot of them don't go extreme with it."

"Well I can't really go anywhere else, so I guess i'm SOL with that one." Charlie told him, and sighed a bit. That might have been rude, but it was true. It pretty much seemed like everyone was extreme with it, and he was just trying to make her feel better about it. "Yeah, I'm pretty sure Sienna is betting on how long it takes me to 'conform.'" "Why'd you even come here in the first place then?". "Yeah, I'm pretty sure Sienna is betting on how long it takes me to 'conform." She had said, that made him laugh. That was something Sienna would do. "It's how most people survive here."

"Long story?" She said, with a weird expression. I guess if she wanted to, she could sort of shred that good-girl image right now. "My friends and I all got caught by the cops. Underage drinking. Parents were mad, and sent me here to live with my grandparents." Some of that story was true. "Well if I do that, who knows what will happen.." [/blockquote]

Charlie's response to why she had moved here, definitely surprised Jordan. She'd been talking as if this was something she totally wasn't it all at all but turns out she kind of was. "Oh wow, you got busted by your parents? That's gotta suck.". "But sending you here to get away from all of that influence? Bad move by your parents, I gotta say."
