"Really? Wow that's cool!" She said. "What kind of music do you sing?" she asked him.

"I just feel like he's better." Sean whispered, standing up. "You look exhausted. Why din't you take a nap or something?" He asked, walking to the opposite side of her bed.

"Would you be able to do me one small favour?". She felt bad for even asking him to do it, "Would you be ale to go down to the nurses station and get me some more ice chips?". He nodded, grabbed the bucket that had previously been filled and went out the room. Ellie closed her eyes just for a moment and found herself falling asleep instantly. During her nap, she lent on all the tubes and a lot of them fell out. Including the most important one. The food tube. That was the one that was keep her alive but Ellie didn't even twitch in her sleep as it fell out.
[Stupid nurses should learn to do their jobs lol.]

Sean grabbed the bucket and slowly made his way down to get more ice. There was no issue, and he took the elevator back up to Ellie's room. He pressed his ear to the door to see if she was sleeping, and it was silent. He quietly opened the door, and went over to Ellie's bed. Maybe it's silent because she's practically dying, you idiot! A voice in Sean's head made him freak out, and he ran into the hallway to find another doctor. Quickly, one ran into the room, but Sean stayed in the hallway. "I'm doing a bad job at this whole 'watching over Ellie' thing." He whispered to no one in particular.

"Hmm.." Charlie thought for a moment. "not over you by Gavin Degraw!" she laughed. "I'm not sure.." she told him.

The doctor plugged the cord back into Ellie's arm and she didn't even flinch. This concerned the doctor. Plugging it back in, usually hurt and would wake someone up if they were asleep. His eyes went over to the heart rate monitor. Her heart rate was slowing way done. "This isn't good. We're gonna have to run some more tests."

"What?!" she asked. She was going to go on and on about how she didn't sing in front of people, but she didn't want to have the conversation. "How about you sing this, and I'll sing a different song?"

Sean listened from outside of the room, and he could feel his heart beat speeding up. What if he never left to get ice? What if she didnt go to bed? What if his cancer came back and killed him instead of his sister? None of this would ever have happened! He took pieces of ice and flung them across the hallway, wishing everything would go back to normal. He just wanted to see Ellie laughing and smiling again.
