Alex watched as Chris and Ellie hugged, and he couldn't help but feel just a little jealous. He was not the jealous type at all, so this was really strange for him. He decided to just let it be, he trusted Ellie. "Hey Nice to meet you, dude." he said and did the typical bro handshake. (haha. i feel like all guys know this? : P )

Ellie and Alex stood pretty close together which gave Chris the impression that maybe Alex was more than a friend to her. That confused him. Last he'd spoken to her, she had a boyfriend. He looked around the group and stopped on the blonde boy she'd introduced as Sean. Wasn't he the boyfriend?. Two at one? Atta girl, he thought. Chris would definitely tease her about that later as he always did when she had 'romantic interests'. "So, what have you guys been up to?" He asked them, "Sorry if I interrupted."

When Charlie talked about Chris, she didn't know what to expect. She could tell they were really, really close though. "Ellie and I just got back from the store, actually. We were planning on going on a picnic soon. Wanna come?" she asked him. One thing Ellie failed to mention was that her best friend was really cute..

Chris looked at Charlie and smiled. It was as if they were welcoming him into the group already. "Sure, that sounds like fun.". Ellie and Charlie went into the kitchen and started preparing some sandwiches while Chris made small talk with Alex.
Chris had come to visit Ellie a few times before but this time, it was permanent. He had moved to Kingswood - news that she was yet to know of. He would surprise her with it later.. or, well, she'd figured it out when she saw all of the boxes Chris had left at her house.
"We're done." Ellie said, walking out with a a filled up basketball. Charlie was holding a rug. Aw, cute, it was like an actual proper you-see-it-in-the-movies picnic. As a group they walked down to the lake and sat down on two rugs joined together to fit them all.

Charlie set down the rugs so they could all sit down. Once they did Charlie grabbed some fruit salad and put it in a paper bowl. "so, Chris, where'd you move from?" She asked him. She didn't want to leave him out, they all knew what the result of that was.

He could see that Charlie was trying her best to include him and he was very grateful for that. "Florida." Chris told her, smiling. "Have you always lived here?" He asked her and the rest of the group.

As Ellie assumed, Charlie and Chris were getting on easily. Ellie took her eyes away from Chris for a second to look at Alex who was sitting behind her. She had noticed Alex had fallen silent since the arrival of Chris. Could he be jealous? She dared to wonder. Ellie decided to test out her theory by snuggling in closer to Chris ever so slightly but enough for Alex to see. From the corner of her eye, she watched to see if he had any reaction.

"No, I moved here a couple months ago." When Chris mentioned he lived in Florida Charlie gasped. "What? I'm from there too. No way!" she laughed a bit.
(Alex) Out of the corner of his eye, he could see Ellie getting a little too close to Chris. He had to keep reminding himself that they were best friends and nothing more- but they just looked so good together he couldn't help himself. Alex flinched a bit, then moved his gaze towards the water.

Chris let out a chuckle and the pair of them shared memories of their home of Florida. It turned out that both went to the same school and shared mutual friends. "How have we only just met each other now?" He laughed.
(Ellie)
A smile played on Ellie's lips as she saw Alex moved uncomfortably before flicking his gaze over towards the water. She moved back, away from Chris and closer to Alex as she had been previously. She felt almost guilty to play the jealousy card... but she had to admit, jealousy was quite adorable on Alex.

This blew Charlie's mind. She laughed a little. "I don't know..we probably just always missed each other." she told him. "This is too crazy." she admitted.

Ellie moved closer to him and he was so confused as to what she was doing. Trying to make him jealous? Really? he thought to himself. It was working. He put his arm around her, so they were sitting closer and smiled. The sun started to set, and it was so beautiful. He leaned in to kiss her even though there were others around.

Chris shook his head, laughing, still baffled by how this was all possible. The sun began to set and it left the most beautiful reflection shimmering onto the water. He looked back at Ellie to see Alex put his arm around her and pull her in closer. A confirmation that they were definitely more than friends, Chris thought. His eyes went back to the sunset, now unable to take them off it. "Wow." Was all he could manage to say. The view was.. breath taking. Mother nature at its best.

They all watched the sun set; Which was probably the most beautiful sunset the group had every seen, considering there were all silent when it was happening. "Right?" Charlie added to Chris' reaction. The sun set and it was super dark outside. "Should we set up a fire? Or head back?" she asked the group.

"Let's build a fire. I'm not ready to go back in yet." Sean commented. Everyone agreed. They decided to set up the fire old school - cave man style. Jordan began rubbing sticks together over blocks of food, hoping to create some kind of friction to cause a fire.

"Ellie, did you pack the marshmellows?" she asked. If not, she would just go back to the cabin, which wasn't too far from here. "S'mores would be a good addition." she grinned.
