It had been around six months since the death of Ellie's father. Abby had gone away with friends for the week so Ellie thought she would too! There was no way she was going to stay home in Kinsgwood, all caught up missing her father. That would lead to not eating and.. other bad things. So, instead, Ellie invited Charlie, Alex, Sean, Jake and Jordan to the cabin her family owned in (some place haha) which they all excitedly agreed to go to.
That morning, the gang jumped into Jordan's jeep and set off for their trip. Within a few short hours, they had reached their destination and everyone bustled their way into their cabin.
"Now, there are three bedrooms with double beds which means that there isn't enough room for everyone to be by themselves so we'll have to pair up." Ellie explained. She knew that this would create drama so she braced herself for it.

To everyone's surprise the bedding arrangements got sorted out quite quickly, drama free. Ellie and Charlie would be sharing a bed, as would Alex and Sean and Jordan would be with Jake. Jordan wasn't too happy having to share a room - let alone a bed - with Charlie's new lover but he reluctantly agreed to keep the peace.

Once everyone knew who they were with, the group scattered off towards their rooms. Ellie and Charlie got the master bedroom. They plunked their bags down on the end of the bed and Ellie looked over at her bed buddy, "Please tell me you remembered to bring your swimsuit." She smiled. Charlie nodded with narrowed eyes, "Why?". Ellie grinned waving up her black bikini, "It's spa time!". The girls both quickly got changed before running off into the spa. They had no intentions of telling the boys they were going in but once they were spotted, the boys were eager to get in. Ellie had to admit, the view of the boys in the spa was pretty nice. They should walk across without shirts more often she noted.

"Somethings missing," Jordan said before jumping out of the spa. Minutes later he returned with a champagne bottle in one hand that he brought and six glasses in the other. He poured everyone a glass before reclaiming his spot in the spa.
The next hour in the spa passed quickly for the group as they filled in the time playing a childish fun game of the classic truth or dare. Their hunger was the only thing that forced them to exit the spa. Charlie threw on a shirt over her swimwear and helped Jordan prepare dinner. "You know, don't you think its suspicious that Ellie and Alex both went to have a shower at the same time?" Jordan laughed as sprinkled onion flakes into the pot. Ellie had claimed that she wanted to get the chlorine smell off her body as had Alex. "They're probably in there together.". Charlie laughed along with him, although Jordan wouldn't be surprised if that was actually the truth. "So what's the deal with you and Jake? You two haven't really spoken much today. Last I heard you two were into each other.". He'd also heard that she was hitting the sack with Sean but he kept that to himself as Sean was in hearing distance.

After getting out of the spa (I just realised, I think Americans call them hot tubs? We call them spa/spa baths so idk haha but that's what I meant) Ellie decided to have a shower to avoid the chlorine smell sticking to her body for the rest of the night. After she got out, Ellie put on a light layer of foundation before placing her hair into a messy bun. She was about to join Charlie and Jordan in the kitchen when she spotted Alex coming out of the main bathroom. "Alex, hey can we talk?". He nodded, "Sure" and Ellie took his hand and lead him to the room that Charlie and herself were staying in. They sat down on the foot of the bed and Ellie turned to face him. She cleared her throat and then spoke. "Okay, so, uh, I just wanna see what sorta page you're on with.. us because I really like you and if this is just some fun little fling thing for you that's cool I just wanna know so that I don't get the wrong idea about us.. y'know?". She bit her lip, hoping that things hadn't just become super awkward between them.

Alex got a bit nervous when Ellie said she wanted to talk. When she finally said what she had to say, he was surprised. Didn't Ellie know how he felt about her? "Of course it's not a fling." he told her. "Why would you think that?" he asked her.

Charlie shook her head and laughed a bit when Jordan mentioned that they were showering together. Boys, such dirty minds. Charlie kept preparing the food, and Jordan asked about Jake. That surprised her. Why would he ask her that? He wasn't someone she would really talk to about..well, anything nowadays. Charlie decided to make this a drama-free trip, so she just responded. "Jake doesn't really know you guys that well, so he's probably just a little shy. And we're doing good." she told him. "Thanks." she smiled and put the food that she was preparing in the oven, then came back to the counter. "What about you and Victoria? I don't see her here.." she mentioned. She bit her lip as soon as those words escaped her mouth. Too late to take it back now.

"I-I don't know, I just we just haven't spoken about it before," She explained. "I just didn't want to get to attached if its not the same for you..". If it wasn't just a fling, then what were they?

Jordan nodded along, listening to Charlie when she spoke about Jake. It took him by surprise when she asked him about Victoria. He shrugged a little, "She wanted to come but I need my space, things between us aren't exactly great.". Before Charlie could continue to the conversation, Sean approached and helped Jordan serve up the food. The conversation would have to be continued later on.

Dinner was served, meaning Alex and Ellie's conversation got cut short. Everyone took there place around the table and for once, the room fell silent as everyone dug into their meals.
After dinner, the group were sitting around in the living room trying to decide on what movie to watch. The higher male ratio meant that the majority wanted to see 'The Avengers' over a romantic movie with Ryan Gosling. Ellie and Charlie had reluctantly agreed to go along with it and Ellie popped it into the dvd player. Beside her was Alex on her right and Charlie on her left. Ellie and Alex were basically joined at the hip.

Alex sat next to Ellie and put his arm around her to bring her in closer. He wanted her to know that this wasn't any type of fling, whatsoever. "Are you okay?" he whispered as the movie started.

At first she shrugged her shoulders but then she nodded. "I'm just sort of confused.. as to what we are exactly." She whispered. Ellie and Alex had been only been on one or two dates so that wasn't really enough to be a 'couple' so what did that make them?

When Jordan told her that thing's hadn't been going well between her and Victoria, she instantly wanted to know more..even though she really shouldn't care. Unfortunately dinner was ready and they weren't able to talk. When movie time started, Jake sat next to Charlie, and jordan next to jake. awkward. Charlie could faintly here a conversation between Ellie and Alex. (alex ) Alex had been thinking of asking Ellie to be his girlfriend, but he didn't really know if it would be too soon. "Well..I really like you." he told her. "And if after knowing each other a little bit longer..you want to be together, than I would like that." he smiled at her.

Ellie shifted around her body so that she was looking at him. She smiled. "I'd really like that.". She leaned in and kissed him quickly and then turned back to look at the movie. From the corner of her eye she could see Charlie smile slightly, leading Ellie to believe she heard parts of that conversation. She could also feel the gaze of Sean on them but she decided not to look.
The movie ended and the group split. Alex, Ellie, Charlie and Jordan all went back into the spa/hot tub while Jake and Sean decided to watch a football match that was on. Boys. Slipping back into the spa, the girls were the first ones in their while Jordan and Alex put their trunks back on. "You and Jordan have been together like every second." Ellie whispered with a grin. She was no fan of how Jordan had treated Charlie but they were really really cute. "What is going on?!". Ellie wanted to press for details.

"Nothing. Absolutely nothing !" she explained. "He's just been asking me a lot about Jake..but we keep getting put together. First dinner, than the movie." she bit her lip. "What about you and Alex?" she smirked. "Things seem pretty good from what i could see." she smiled.
