This is where the real drama happens.

When he said that he understood what she meant it seemed like he really did. "Has something like this happened to you?". Ellie paused waiting for his reaction. "Sorry.. I'm being nosy. You don't have to tell me." She reassured him with a friendly smile.

[Alex Reed]

Alex hesitated before going into the whole story about his ex. "No, it's fine." he smiled. "Well.." he paused collecting his thoughts. "I dated this girl for about three years, and I found out that she cheated on me at a party. My best friend text me a picture of her and this guy..and then he admitted it." he explained, trying not to think about it. "How about you?" he asked her.

Ellie listened to his story and her heart went out to him. "That's horrible. I'm so sorry. I don't know how people can do that.". They were going out for three years. That's such a long time.. especially for young people. What a bitch, Ellie thought. She bit her lip. "I dated this guy Michael last year. A couple months into our relationship, his mom died. She had cancer and he was angry. He got out his anger through violence.. towards me.". That was around the time that Ellie stopped eating and became bulimic but she kept those thoughts to herself.

Alex felt dumb, when he heard Ellie's story. No wonder she was scared to go into a new relationship. "I am so sorry." he told her. "I can see why you'd be afraid.." he told her. "But just know that had nothing to do with you. I mean, he obviously had issues..but that was all him." he explained.

She shrugged her shoulders, she'd made her peace from what had happened with him and it no longer effected her.. much. "I guess so." "But then after me and Sean started dating, the first chance I got.. I was out of there." She realised. It was like she was trying to find an excuse to break up with him before he could change..

Alex liked that he was so open with her. "What do you mean?" he asked, when she mentioned Sean.

She frowned only realising this herself. "I guess because of Michael I tried to find a way out of my relationship with Sean so that he couldn't end up doing the same.."

"Do you think he would?" he asked her. If Alex was being honest, he was starting to feel something for Ellie, but he wasn't sure she felt the same, plus there was the whole ex situation.

[Ellie Mankelow]

"No." She shook her head and sighed. "He just found out some.. bad personal news. So, it's a possibility it could make him angry and lash out.. but I don't think he's like that." "I guess I'm just scared."

[Alex Reed]

Alex looked over to Sean talking to Charlie, then looked back at Ellie. "He doesn't look like that kind of guy." he told her. Why he was helping her with this sean guy, was beyond him.

The fact that Alex was helping Ellie with Sean sent her a clear message that she was in the friend zone otherwise he wouldn't be helping her. She wasn't sure how she felt about being friend zoned.. "So, enough about me. What about you? Anyone got your eye yet?". She was generally curious and maybe a little bit itching to know who had won him over.

Alex was a bit surprised when Ellie asked her that. "I Think I've got my eye on someone." he smiled.

"Ooh who?" Ellie grinned, eager to know.

Alex was about to brave up and just tell Ellie it was her, but the teacher started speaking, and he chickened out. "Alright now that youve read some of the script, I want you guys to pair up and practice some of the scenes." she said and sat back down. "Partner?" he smiled. They were already practicing lines anyways. Maybe now he'd have the courage to tell her.

She nodded her head. It was easy as they already had been. "Now come on, I'm not letting you hide this." She giggled, "Who is it?". "What's there to be afraid of? She won't like you back? Come on, have you seen you?"
