Alex opened his script, to rehearse a scene with Ellie. As they started reading their lines, he realized that they were practicing a romantic scene. There was a part where the two people kiss, but he was a bit unsure of it right at this moment. With Ellie's ex watching, and well, everyone around it just wasn't the right moment. He continued past that part, and read the rest of the lines. By then, the scene was over. "So is this the part you want to play?" he asked her.

When Alex skipped over the kiss part, Ellie had expected it but she felt her stomach turn. Here she was falling for this guy who only saw her as a friend. Stupid. Try to brush off the idea she answered his question with a nod. "Too much competition for the main female role." She told him.

He noticed she seemed kind of letdown by the kiss scene, but he didn't want to address that right now. Maybe later. "What competition? I mean, might as well give it a try." he told her with a smile. He was always one to tell others to just go for it.

She shrugged her shoulders. "Come on, the girls in this class are great. They'll get it hands down!" "Plus, there's a lot of kissing scenes with the main male lead.. that could get awkward." Ellie laughed a bit. Right now was one of the times that she wished Charlie had a phone. She needed to text her about her problem that she was having with her feelings about Alex. What to do about it. But Charlie was all the way across the other side of the room. Ugh.

"Well, I guess i wouldn't know because I'm new here, but I still think you should go for it." he told. "And which girls? Like that Victoria chick? she tries too hard. Anyone can see that." He realized she said the kissing scenes would be awkward. "How? it's acting!" he explained.

"Yet she gets guys to fall under her spell so easily." Ellie said, talking about Victoria. "Yeah but what if I got it and then Sean got the male lead? That'd be awkward."

"She's easy...that's why." She explained. "She acts all nice, then throws herself at you..and voila. She's creeped her way in." he explained. "Well, it might. But you have to at least try. If that happens..then I guess that's how it goes." he told her.

She raised her eyebrows, impressed in how quickly he'd caught on to her act. "You know, you've been her.. what a few days? And you've already seen through Victoria's act quicker than most of that have liked here all their lives!." She grinned. Ellie bit her lip. "Hmm.. maybe I will..".

"It's just quite obvious." he told her. "And it's not that guys don't realize it, they're just guys. They see a pretty girl throwing herself at them..theyre gonna react." he explained. "Not all guys are like that Jordan fella." he added on. When she said she might try he smiled. "Good. I mean what's the worst that can happen?"

She laughed. Guys are like that. "Most of them seem to be around here.". Alex had completely convinced Ellie into going for the lead role. He was right. What was the worst thing that could happen?. "You've convinced me." Ellie smiled.

"It just seems like that." he explained. "I personally think guys are just misunderstood." he laughed a bit. When Ellie said she'd try out for the main role, his smile grew bigger. "It's better than looking back and wishing you had tried out." he told her.

"Misunderstood? How so?" She asked, questioning him. Ellie smiled. "You're right. Ooh, I'm excited now." "So, if you had the choice, would you have gone for the lead role or would you have gone for someone else?". She kind of felt sorry for the guys having no choice if they wanted the lead male role or not, it was like they were being forced into it. Although, if there was a choice, probably no one would go for the role knowing the guys.

"Well, If one guy acts like a total douche, girls tend to think that the next guy they see is the same way.." he trailed off. "I mean, we get that you're hurt, but you can't think that every guy is going to be the same. No girl's the same." he explained. "I know I just gave you a huge pep talk about the lead role, but i think I'd go for a smaller role. Especially since i'm new here." it was really unfair that the teacher's made the boys audition. What if they didn't want to?

She bit her lip. There was nothing really that Ellie could say to that. It was true. "I'm guilty of thinking like that too.." She laughed a little "But I guess you're right. It's just when you're hurt, you're more than just hurt.. you're afraid. The guy became everything that you thought he never would. What if the next guy you fall for ends up doing the same?.". Ellie shook her head and laughed. "After all that. You wouldn't go for the lead role! Maybe the lead role would be good for you. You might get to know more people that way."

Alex listened to everything Ellie had to say. He was in a relationship for three years, and thought his girlfriend was one thing and she ended up being another. "I understand what you mean." he paused. "But if that happens then you know he wasn't the right person." He told her. He got a lot of advice from his mom. Even though her parents were divorced, she had a good head on her shoulders. "Maybe, but i rather not." he laughed. He realized he probably sounded like a hypocrite.
