"It was always there." Sean quietly admitted. Once the doctors thought it 'went away' with his sister, Sean and his older brother were constantly getting checked out at different hospitals to make sure it wasn't doing any damage. "I was always on some sort of medication. And it just grew...or came back...or..." Sean bit his lip. "I forgot to take the medication." He made his voice almost inaudible, but in that room, it was pretty easy to hear anything.

Charlie thought about the time when he told her about his sister dying from cancer. She felt stupid for not suspecting that he might have it as well. "Did the doctors say how severe it was?" she asked.

He shook his head. "I have absolutely no idea." He said calmly. "Just gotta keep my head up...and it will be gone soon." He suggested, trying to make everyone smile.

Ellie just sat there, listening to the two of them, unable to say a word. This was too much. They were talking as if they had just accepted Sean had cancer. Ellie couldn't. It couldn't process in her mind that this was real. She didn't want it to be. Whay made it worse was the way that Sean was talking. He was speaking as if he wasn't going to survive this. Tears rolled like bullets down her face as she thought about it.
Ellie got up to go into the bathroom that was connected to Sean's room. Clutching onto her dad's necklace that she always wore, she cried. Sean needed to be focused on his recovery right now so maybe its just the wrong time for the pair to be together. It was punching James that brought this all on. The stress of it all got to him. This was her fault and Sean knew it. She needed to break up with him. But how?. Ellie took a deep breathe then pulled herself up. She sat herself down next to him and spoke really quietly so only he could hear. "You need to focus on your recovery.. And the whole time I, all of us, will be there to support you and help you through everything. But, I don't think I shouls be bu your side as your girlfriend. Right now, until your better, you need to focus just on you. So until you're better." She trailed off quietly. Such a bitch for breaking up with him potientally on his death bed..

Jade could vaguely here what Ellie was saying to Sean and his facial expressions just confirmed it. "Oh my god," She whispered to Charlie and James, "They're breaking up."

They couldn't really hear what was happening, but could piece some things together. "Whaat?" Charlie whispered. Her jaw basically dropped. isn't this supposed to be the time where your relationship's tested, and you get stronger and closer? Charlie shook her head, this didn't make sense.

Jade bit her lip and shook her head, "She's making a stupid decision.". "You need to stop her from doing it because they're both gonna be hurting and she'll regret it..". Her eyes flicked over to James. She just hoped that he knew some of this was his fault but she didn't know him so he wasn't going to say anything.

"H-how am i supposed to stop her?" She asked. "No, i know she will. I bet she just thinks that this is her fault.." she sighed.

"Wait, what?" Sean said louder for everyone to hear. "Ellie, I'm fine!" He opened his eyes wide, using every ounce of energy he had. "Seriously?" Tears filled his eyes as he looked down at her innocent face.

"Stop." She told him. He was exerting a lot of energy and he needed all his energy to go into his recovery. Sean looked at her with tear filled eyes. She grabbed his hand and squeezed it tight then nodded. "Just know, that this has nothing to do with me running away from you having cancer or not being able to handle it. I.. I just think you need to focus on yourself right now..". This isn't what she wanted at all. It was breaking her heart but it's what he needed/wanted.. right?

"I needed you...to help me through this..." Sean weakly held her hand, not even wanting to think that this was really happening. He needed Ellie most. He didn't have any family, and friends could only get him so far. "I need you Ellie." He closed his eyes and slowly turned away from her.

"Sean.." Ellie sighed. "I'll still be here for you, through everything. No matter what.". He turned away from her, and she couldn't stop the tears now. He was mad at her. It's probably better that way. That way he won't hurt over the break up or whatever it was. He didn't say anything. She got up and looked towards the group. "I'm gonna go home and have a shower. I'll be back in about an hour.". And with that, she left, crying the whole way home.

Everyone pretty much sat there..shocked. "I'll be right back, Sean." Charlie knew she had to go talk some sense into Ellie. Not long after, she ran after her. She sort of remembered how to get there, but had some trouble. She got to what looked like Ellie's house and rang the doorbell.

Sean felt tears escape from his eyes. "Why?" Sean whispered out loud. "What just happened?" He mumbled. "I'd rather be dead." He spoke into the pillow so almost no one could hear him.

Ellie was just about to turn on the shower when the doorbell rang. She went back downstairs and opened it, not even caring she looked like crap. It was Charlie. Oh. "Yeah?" She asked her, confused to why she'd followed her home.
