Jade, James, Sean's girlfriend and friend who's names she learnt were Ellie and Charlie all stood outside Sean's door waiting for the doctor to let them in. "You can come in now." The doctor said as he exited the room. Charlie opened the door and walked in, James followed as Jade was about to too when she turned back to see Ellie , his girlfriend, remained sitting on the floor, staring into space. Since hearing the news that Sean went in for surgery for cancer, Ellie had barely spoken a word. She'd just sat on the ground and stayed in that very same position she was currently in. "You coming?". Ellie just shook head and mumbled. "I can't.".
Jade sighed, and walked inside with the rest of the group, leaving the door open in case Ellie choose to come in. "You scared us so much." Charlie said, all teary. "How are you feeling now?" Jade asked him. Probably a stupid question.

Sean saw Jade walk in first. He felt tears coming to his eyes, thinking everyone would hate him. He kept a huge secret from everyone, and practically lied to them all. "I'm okay." Sean whispered, looking down at the blanket. He didn't really know what to say. He looked up carefully for Ellie, but she wasn't there. James was, which confused him a lot. Charlie was too, which made Sean a little happier inside. But Ellie was no where to be seen.

Part of Ellie was so mad at Sean for how he lied to her.. to all of them. This wasn't just something you could hide, it was a big deal. Ellie had felt horrible for hiding her eating disorder problem from Sean for only a few days. This, this he felt comfortable hiding from her?. Something that had almost killed him..
At this point in time, Ellie wanted to see Sean just to be sure that he was okay but she couldn't see him like this. Not right at this moment. All her friends had walked inside and they were busy focused on Sean. Ellie jumped up and left the hospital. She didn't want to be around anyone right now.. She couldn't believe what was happening..

Jade noticed Sean was looking around the group, most likely for Ellie. Peering out into the hallway, Jade noticed she was gone. She was just there a second ago?. "Um, Ellie left." She told the group, mainly Sean. "..She just needs some time.."

"She what?" Sean asked weakly. He didn't even bother hiding his tears, and left them fell down his face. "Why?" He weakly asked, closing his eyes again. Why did she leave? Why did he try hiding this? Why did this have to happen now? Everything was going so well, and he just fell downhill and crashed. He felt like he needed Ellie more than anything right now, and she ran away leaving him with a girl he just met, a boy who Sean punched, and one of his closer friends. But still, Sean just wanted to see Ellie, and apologize.

Jade wanted to be able to answer his questions but she didn't know Ellie well enough. "I'll go find her, okay?" and with that, she left the room to go after Ellie. She figured Sean didn't really know her well enough anyway. He probably just wanted to be with close friends at the moment.
It took about ten minutes for Jade to find Ellie. She was sitting in the middle of a road, where there was oncoming traffic. "Ellie." She yelled out. Jade ran towards her, and pulled her over to the side walk. "You can't do this. I know how you're feeling right now. Believe me I do, but he's gonna hate himself if you do anything stupid!" Jade told her. That's when she saw Ellie's face. Covered in tears.. she looked awful and distraught. "It's gonna kill him." She sobbed.
After a lot of crying, Ellie calmed down slightly and Jade brought her back to the hospital and they walked into Sean's room.

The room was absolutely silent when Jade left. Sean closed his eyes and let his thoughts waste time. Yes, he felt bad for not telling anyone. But it wasn't his fault that he had to live with this. He felt like he was laying in a coffin, unable to move. The door swung open again, and Sean's eyes burst open. He saw Jade, followed by Ellie. She looked exhausted, confused, and it was clear to anyone that she was crying. "Ellie..." Sean whispered, trying to say something to her. He stopped for a minute, and used all of his energy to move over on the bed to let her lay next to him.

Ellie sat on the edge of the bed and reached to touch his hand. He looked so weak and fragile. Just hearing him say her name, made her weep uncontrollably. She couldn't hold back the tears. She leaned forward to gently kiss him. "I'm so glad you're okay." She sobbed. But for how long..?

Watching over Sean and Ellie was absolutely heart breaking. You could see that Ellie, like the rest of us just felt absolutely helpless. Was he just a tick time bomb to his death?. She tried not to think like that. She'd only just met him but if something were to happen.. she wouldn't know what'd she do. Jade's eyes flicked around the room. Charlie was crying too and James looked like he was in a lot of pain too, seeing Sean like this. "What did the doctors say? ..A-Are you gonna be okay?" Jade asked.

"I'm sorry." Sean faintly whispered as Ellie came near him. Seeing her cry made his heart break, and he started to cry too. Sean looked to Jade. "I'm okay...for now...again." Sean quietly admitted. Seeing everyone like this made him rather be dead. He hated seeing people cry, he just liked making everyone happy. And when people were crying, it sucked. Especially when they were crying over him.

Charlie couldn't believe this was happening. He was fine, perfectly fine a few days ago; Or at least she thought he was. She wiped her eyes to keep from crying anymore, she didn't want to make Sean feel worse then he did. Charlie watched as Ellie sat next to him. Her heart was breaking because of this, and you could see it. And when Sean said he'd be fine for now, Charlie didn't want to hear it. "No, no you're gonna be fine." Charlie said. She wasn't gonna lose one of her best friends.

Sean nodded his head. "Yeah. I'm going to be fine." He glanced to Ellie, and then Charlie. "I'm really sorry I didn't tell you guys." Sean looked down at the white hospital blanket. "I really wanted to..." He closed his eyes and took a deep breath. "But I couldn't." He paused, not wanting to even explain.

Charlie was trying to figure how this could even happen. She bit her lip once again to keep from crying. Charlie wanted to ask why he couldn't tell them, but she figured there was another time and place for that. "it's okay.." Charlie said and looked at everyone else. They looked just as worried. "How long have you known though?" Charlie asked him.

Sean paused to think about it. His sister died when she was only five, making Sean twelve. Once they figured out that her cancer wasn't gone, his parents decided to get him tested. And truth be told, he had it to. He immediately got treatment, and they knew it would never really be fully gone, but he never thought it would come back like this. "I guess since I was twelve." Sean admitted. "I never thought this could happen again, though."

Charlie took a deep breathe. "So you were in remission..and then it came back?" She was curious if it had completely gone away, or it was there subtly.
