Charlie had been talking with Jade about how empty her house had felt without her grandparents around. Sam had moved in but it was still too big for just them. Herself, Jade and Ellie all then decided on the idea of having a game night with their friends at Charlie and Sam's place. Everyone was invited (including Jade's new friend Wesley) to play old school board games but also Xbox, Wii and Playstation games. Whatever people felt like. They also decided that Ellie was going to provide some alcohol to add that little bit of fun to anyone who wished to drink and they'd order pizza or Chinese food when everyone arrived.

It came to the Saturday night that the girls had planned the game night. They were fluffling around in the kitchen, waiting for someone to arrive when the buzz of Jade's phone went off. It was placed right in front of Ellie's eyes. "Ooh it's from lover boy, he's on his way!" She teased.
(Jade)
Jade's cheeks went crimson and she looked down at what she was wearing, suddenly self conscious of her choice of attire. "Do I look okay?" She asked nervously.

Charlie couldn't help but laugh. Ellie was having way too much fun teasing Jade. "You look great!" Charlie smiled. "Don't let him freak you out. Just be yourself." she smiled and the doorbell rang. "That must be him." she smirked. "Ellie! Can you grab it for me, cause I need to finish setting up the table." she laughed.

Giving Jade a quick nudge with her elbow, Ellie waltzed over to the door. With a grin she opened it up. As expected it was lover boy holding a few Wii games in hand. "Hey Wes-". Ellie was stopped mid sentence when she noticed he was not alone. Standing behind him was Alex. The smile from her face dropped and she felt like she'd just had her knees kicked out from underneath her. Awkwardly he cleared his throat, "Sorry.. I didn't know you'd be here.. with company." Alex said with his eyes shifting from Wesley back to Ellie. So he'd come to visit Charlie then. Unable to speak, she opened the door wider and motioned for the boys to come in. They did and she shut the door behind them. After months of not returning her calls, he just shows up out of no where to go and see her best friend. Doesn't even think to send a text to Ellie just to say "Hey I'm alive!". Jerk.

Charlie stood in shock as she watched who walked through the door. Alex. She thought he might show up in Kingswood sooner or later, but now out of all times? Alex went up to Charlie and hugged her, and gave his condolences; And it's not that they weren't friends, but why would he be at Charlie's grandparents home? Charlie looked at Alex, "I think you need to explain yourself to Ellie." she watched as Alex made his way to Ellie and asked if they could talk privately.
(Alex) "Ellie...i'm sorry I didn't contact you. To be honest, I shut my phone off before I left. I just really needed a break from the drama here. I basically kept it off the entire time, and then when I decided to come back I noticed all your texts. I stopped by your house, but no one answered. So I figured you'd be here." he finally took a deep breathe after spitting all of that out. She probably hated him.

"You didn't just shut off your phone, Alex.. you walked out of our life completely for no reason. Not even a word for months. Just a simple "I'm alive" would have been enough!" She sighed and shook her head. "I'm here to have fun with my friends tonight. I think you should leave."
(Jade)
Wesley's arrival had been completely washed out by Alex's return. Charlie and Jade knew best just how much it had hurt Ellie that he'd just left. He was basically her boyfriend and then he'd just left, leaving Ellie to feel he'd gone to another girl. It wasn't okay but she'd moved on now.
Jade walked over to Wesley who looked completely confused by the tension in the air. She greeted him with a hug. "Sorry about that." She said smiling, "How are you?"

Alex felt so awful. "Ellie, I thought you were gone completely! Remember the whole Sophia thing...I knew it was you. I loved you." He told her and he fault awful for making her hurt. "If that's what you want I'll leave. But please just give me time to explain. Maybe we can talk later." He sighed and made up some excuse to leave.
(Wes) "Oh, no worries. Is your friend okay?" He asked, concerned. "I'm doing well. How bout yourself?" He asked, his English accent sounding thick. He thought it was weird to not hear everyone else talking like He was, but everyone seemed to want to hear him because of his accent. He thought it was sweet.

"I've moved on Alex, you should too.". She sighed and shrugged her shoulders. "Don't worry about it. You don't have to leave. Just stay alright. Charlie probably wants to catch up and stuff.". With that, Ellie turned on her heels and walked back to where her friends, not interested in anymore he had to say.

"Yeah, she'll be okay. Just an estranged almost boyfriend has returned out of the blue." Jade rolled her eyes. He'd have some excuse as to why he hadn't been returning her calls. Shortly after Ellie returned back into the room, Alex just behind her.

Charlie watched as her best friend came into the room. She felt so bad, why did Alex just show up out of nowhere? Charlie went up to her, "You okay?" she asked, sincerely. "He really doesn't have to stay. I can make him leave.." she offered.

Ellie smiled and thanked Charlie for the concern. "It's fine, he can stay. Unlike him I don't feel right to just shut people out and ignore them."

Charlie sighed. "Well, Chris is supposed to be coming anyways, right?" she asked. "I mean, with him here, at least you'll have a distraction." she smiled. "Or i can just have Sam go kick his ass. I'm sure he'd love to." she laughed, making light of the situation.

She smiled, "Yeah, that's true.". When she mentioned Sam, Ellie let out a small chuckle. "I'd love that.". As if on cue, minutes later Chris arrived and the tension in the air settled a bit.

"I'll be sure to tell him." She laughed. Suddenly, Chris walked in, and none of them had really seen him in a few months. He walked in and gave Ellie a big hug and Charlie hugged him as well. "Sheesh long time no see." she said. "How've you been?"

"I know I know, sorry about that!" Chris let out a laugh. "I've been great. Got to see my family in Florida which was pretty cool but I'm glad to be back. This place feels like home now.". It didn't take an genius to figure out that Chris had just walked into a seriously awkward environment and he figured it had something to do with Alex who was standing off to the side looking uncomfortable. Chris may have been away but he often was on the phone to Ellie so he was very much aware of his absence in her life.
The group all sat down in the living area and turned on the Wii, putting in a classic. Wii sports.. Only four could play at a time so it was first up Jade and the new guy - who Ellie informed Chris was named Wesley - against Charlie and Chris in doubles tennis.
