After Charlie and Sam got back from Florida, he could tell she just wasn't the same. A lot of her friends had grown apart, the love of her life got put in jail (and then taken out) and he could tell she just always wanted to be alone. After the news broke out about Jordan and Victoria, Sam realized he couldn't afford the apartment all on his own, so he rented it out and moved into his grandparents house with Charlie. If there was one good thing to come out of the horrible situation with their grandparents, it was that he and Charlie got a lot closer.
Charlie was sitting on the couch while Sam made breakfast, and he noticed a card addressed to Charlie sitting on the desk. He brought it over to her, but she couldn't bare to open it, so she let Sam do it. It was a birthday card from her grandparents. And in that moment, Sam felt awful for forgetting his sister's birthday. "Before you freak out, it's not actually til tomorrow." she told him. Sam made a sigh of relief and grabbed his phone. He dialed Ellie's number and stepped outside. "Ellie. Thank god you answered. Can you help me with something?" He hoped that Ellie and Charlie were still close enough for her to help him with this. Throwing Charlie a surprise party; Whether she wanted it or not.

Ellie was surprised to hear from Sam. She'd barely heard from Charlie, let alone her brother. "Well that depends, what's up?" She asked him.

"I know you and Charlie have kinda grown apart..but I was just reminded that Charlie's birthday is tomorrow." He sighed, "Would you help me throw her a surprise party?" He asked, hoping she wouldn't reject him. "Charlie needs this. She's barely speaking to anyone." He admitted.
