Playing with sand between her fingers, Ellie sat on the cold beach front trapped inside her own mind. It was 5am.. she couldn't sleep, and after walking around aimlessly for hours, Ellie found herself at the beach. Since her break up with him, Sean had been almost non existent. For a while he was there.. but he never really there. Now, he was actually.. gone. Gone back home. He'd never even said a word just got up and left with no goodbye. Was he even coming back?
Letting her long brown hair fall gently over her right shoulders, Ellie closed her eyes, taking in the sound of the waves crashing against the waves.. fighting the urge to cry. She would not be weak. The thoughts of Sean were driving her crazy. They were constantly in her mind.. like they were meant to be there. Did she still love him? Yes. The harder she tried to fight it, the stronger the thoughts got. Ellie took in a deep breathe and felt someone sit down beside her. It was Charlie. Opening her eyes, she turned to face Charlie. They probably shouldn't be anywhere near each other.. but for that moment, Ellie didn't move away. She needed her best friend. Plus, it was too early for anybody to spot them. "I miss Sean.." Ellie admitted. "And I know it's wrong.. I have Alex and I love him.. but I also still love Sean.". She groaned, "Ugh, I'm a horrible person."

Charlie comforted her best friend, "You're not a horrible person." she said. "You're just confused. I mean, when Sean left the first time, he kind of gave you no choice but to move on." she explained. Charlie bit her lip. "Can I tell you a secret?" Ellie nodded her head. "I don't think I've ever been over Jordan. Even when I was sort of dating jake. It just never went away." she explained. "So you're definitely not alone there." she laughed.

Ellie's shoulders lowered to a relieved stump when she heard that Charlie knew how she felt. She looked at her with a frown. "I'm glad that you know how I'm feeling.. but I'm sorry you're still struggling with that.". Grains of sand crumbled through the gaps in her fingers as Ellie picked some up aimlessly playing with it. "Thing is though.. Jordan stuffed up. So he deserved you moving on and dating someone else. Meanwhile, Sean didn't do anything wrong. I just got up and left him.. then went to someone else." She sighed.

Charlie shook her head. "I'm an idiot." she laughed lightly. "But you did what you thought was right for him ." Charlie said. "Nothing that you did was selfish..and you shouldn't feel bad about any of it.." she explained. "..but if you still have feelings for him, tell him." she told Ellie. "Cause I think until you do, it's gonna bother you."

She looked at her friend with a confused and sad expression. "But what would I even say? How could I tell him that after everything..? It'll just play with his emotions.". Ellie moved her gaze towards the ocean and she spoke, "Besides, what about Alex? I love him I know I do but Sean.. he still gets under my skin.". She let out another sigh. She was so torn between the two of them.

Charlie shrugged a little and bit her lip. "I mean.. I don't know." She sighed. "Maybe just trying hanging out with Sean-just as friends- and see if you feel the same?" She suggested. "I think Alex is a great guy for you, but if you're unhappy what's the point?" She added. She sat there sort of wishing she could take her own advice.

Ellie nodded her head. When Sean returned, she would spend some time with him. These feelings may not even be true. It may just be the distance that makes her miss him and the old feelings rush back. She looked at her friend sitting beside her and shook her head, "Thing is.. I'm not unhappy with Alex.. just.. torn?". She sighed and then changed the subject. "This may sound crazy.. but I think you need to fix things with Jordan. I know he's done a lot of crazy things but they've all been acting on jealousy. I really think he loves you.. a lot.". Ellie had known Jordan all his life, and never ever seen him act like this before. It was definitely love.

"I mean, it makes sense. You're not the only one who second guesses herself." she explained, trying to make Ellie feel better." What Ellie had to say next, surprised Charlie. Charlie wanted to fix things with Jordan, SO badly but she didn't know what she would even say to him. "...I haven't been able to let go of him, since everything went horribly." she admitted. "But, I don't even know if he really cares, anymore. It's been awhile. I don't even know what to say." she said and put her head in her hands.

"Charlie, he's as stubborn as you. He may not admit he's hurting and that he misses you but that doesn't mean it's not true." Ellie told her, knowing she was right. Everyone knew how Jordan and Charlie felt about each other.. well, except confused in the middle Sam.

Charlie sighed in defeat, she knew her friend was right. "Well...I guess you're right." she bit her lip. "What if it all goes downhill again?..I-i don't want to get hurt again." she admitted. She was happy she had a friend like Ellie that she could completely confide in. Especially since her mom was so far away.

She bit her lip a bit, thinking before she spoke. "Well, it depends if you think it's.. he's.. worth the risk."

Charlie nodded her head. She didn't really know what to say. "I think he is.." she admitted; to herself as well. "Enough about me, what were you doing before I got here?" she asked.

Ellie grinned a cheesy grin, glad that her best friend was on the way to fixing her kind of sort of almost relationship with Jordan. "Not much. Went for a run to clear my head and stuff. Didn't work." She said answering her question, "What about you?"

"Pretty much the same thing." she laughed a bit. "Are you doing anything else?" she asked."Can you hang?" she asked, suddenly remembering the whole identity thing.

"Sure," Ellie said. Although this probably wasn't a very good idea. Being seen with Charlie once wouldn't mean anything. People had seen her with Sophia before Ellie's 'death' anyway so maybe they'd - or he would - just think she was seeking comfort in someone that looked like her dead friends. "What do you feel like doing?"
