Charlie nodded her head, not fully believing what he was saying, but agreeing for the sake of not arguing. "Maybe I can try to figure out what's wrong..." he said, and left chris to walk over to Ellie. Charlie eventually found her in the crowd. "Ellie!" she called out and walked up to her. "Hey, are you okay?" she asked.

Dozen of texts were pouring in from him. When would he just leave her alone?. She didn't want this. Any of it. Charlie found her and she braced herself as she knew she had to lie to her. She put on a fake grin, "Yeah I'm fine, you were great!"

Why couldn't Charlie just accept what Ellie had said?. She shrugged her shoulders as if not to care. "Nothing happened. Is it really necessary that I have to spend every second with the kid? We aren't even a couple."

"Well...no, of course not." she told Ellie. "But just the way you treated him..it was like he did something wrong." she explained. Ellie had never been so impatient, so Charlie was surprised when she was talking to her.

"If he did something wrong, I'd just be open and tell him." Ellie said playing with the sleeves on her jacket. "So, again, everything is fine. I just needed some space."

Charlie was kind of taken back by her comment. Ellie had never spoken to her like that. "Well go tell them that then." she said and pointed the boys, waiting across from them.

Chris and Alex watched on from a distance as Charlie tried to find out just what the hell was going on with Ellie tonight. He saw Ellie shrug and walk away and Charlie made her way back to the boys. "What's happening? What did Alex do to her?". His first instinct was to punch Alex in the face.. that was his protective nature coming out.

"He didn't do anything ." She wanted to make that clear because of the look on Chris' face. "She didn't tell me anything. She said she 'needed space' but nothing was wrong." Charlie shrugged. "But she just got mad at me.." Or at least Ellie's version of mad. "She said she can take care of herself." Charlie shook her head. "Something is seriously up with her."

It surprised Chris when Charlie said that Ellie had gotten mad at her. Getting mad wasn't really her style. She'd get annoyed sometimes but she'd always appreciate that people cared. "That doesn't sound like Ellie." "What is wrong with her? I wish she'd just open up to us.."

Charlie sighed. "So do I." "But, I've drilled her with enough questions. You can try talking to her..but i know it's just going to end the same." she shrugged a bit.
