Sean shrugged and couldn't help but smile when Ellie sat back down. "We could always try doing things we used to do together..." He paused to look up at her. "Ice cream, walks, beach, something?" He raised his eyebrows, hoping he could get her to agree.

She nodded slightly. They decided better start sooner than later. Leaving Starbucks, they decided to do both. They grabbed some ice creams and walked down the beach. About halfway, they stopped walking, switching their gazes towards the sun setting on the ocean. "Why didn't you tell me that you were leaving?" She asked him. "Was I not worth at least a goodbye.". The hurt you could hear in her voice. Have to here that he wa gone from Charlie broke her heart and then for him to be gone for so long.. Or what felt like a lifetime. "I didn't think you were ever coming back.. That's why I tried my hardest to find someone else and then eventually I did. A week later you were back and now..". She shook her head trying to hold back the tears but eventually Ellie let them flow over.

Sean instantly felt like a complete jerk. He inhaled and exhaled slowly, not wanting to say the wrong words to make her burst out crying. He stayed silent, which didn't help as he saw the tears fall down her cheeks. "Stop crying..." He kept his voice low, knowing that she'd have to eventually stop crying to be able to hear what he was saying. "Please, stop." He mumbled, dropping his arms to his sides. "I'm sorry I didn't tell you." He choked back the feeling that he knew was crawling up his throat. "I just...everything was going wrong in my life. Nothing good was happening, and the last conversation we had in the hospital," He paused to think back to it. He full out screamed at her, along with everyone else in the room, and it made his stomach churn. "It just didn't seem right. But I didn't know how to fix it." He mumbled, looking down at his feet. "I'm sorry. I know that won't fix it...but I'm sorry."

When he mentioned their last conversation Ellie had to bit her lip so hard that it started bleed to fight the urge to tear up. But the hurt, you could see it all in her eyes. She nodded. That's all she could manage to get out. Ellie sat down on the sand and kept her eyes towards the sun setting as he sat beside. "Well, none of that matters now cause i've moved on." Ellie said. Truthfully she was still totally in love with him but she had feelings for Alex.

Sean watched her carefully, trying to figure out what she was thinking. He was hoping she would look up and tell him that everything was okay, but she turned away and sat down a few feet away from him on the sand. He listened to her talk, and took a step closer so he could understand her better. "Oh," He managed to let the words escape from his lips, and then he felt the ocean breeze overpower his voice. "That's good." He didn't know how to respond. She moved on. She found someone else to replace him. She didn't feel the same way about him anymore. He still loved her, but none of that mattered.

Her eyes shifted towards Sean. He had that hurt puppy dog face that he often didn't realise he did when he tries to hide his emotions. "S-So what about you? Any girls back home that you feel worthy we should know about?". Ellie let a slight humourless chuckle escape her lips.

Sean quickly shook his head, feeling his hair move on the top of his head. "Nope." He frowned slightly, realizing he didn't want any other girl...besides Ellie. He needed to get the thought out of his head, but it just kept coming back.

"Oh.". This had surprised her. "Well I'm sure someone amazing is gonna come along for you soon enough.". Sean was a catch. Who wouldn't want him?

"Yeah," Sean inhaled deeply, watching the loud waves crash onto the shore. "I had someone amazing." He mumbled barely moving his lips so she wouldn't hear him.

Sean was mumbling so softy that she it was barely audible but she managed to hear him. He said the cutest things that made her heart ache. She yerned to just hold him and tell him how sorry she was and she was still loved him. "Sean.." She breathed out, "Well, you'll find some better."

"I highly, highly doubt that." Sean looked widely at Ellie, and then down at the ground, hoping she would take a hint and figure out that he was talking about her.

"If you're talking about me then you'll definitely find someone better." She put an emphasis on the word definitely.

"Really?" Sean couldn't hold it in anymore, and inhaled deeply to get enough air to let everything out. "Ellie, what you don't realize is how happy you made me. Whenever I was with you, I felt like a little kid again, carefree and not minding the world. I cared about you so much, and I was almost positive we were completely meant to be for the rest of our lives. And then everything went downhill for a dumb reason, and when I left, all I thought about was you. I came back to this stupid town for you. It was all for you. And you keep thinking I'll find someone better than you, but that's the whole thing...there is no one better. All I want is you, and you don't get it." Sean blurted it all out, looking straight into her eyes. He didn't want to see her reaction. He didn't need to see her laughing at him, or thinking he was stupid. He walked towards the ocean, getting away from her.

Ellie stared at him, eyes wide as she listened to what he had to say. He began to walk away and she got up and followed him. "Sean.. I-I get it. I felt that way too but now there's another guy in the picture and it'd just be so complicated.."
