(im just gonna pretend that she doesn't have a younger brother, it's just an older brother. is that okay? haha) "It doesn't work like that." she said blatantly. "He left me. Alone. How can he do that to me?" she told her. "And then waltz in like nothing happened...no." she explained. "It's not the first time i've hear it.." she laughed slightly.

(Okaay!)
Ellie bit her lip. She understood where Charlie was coming from. She'd have so much built up anger against him. It's how she felt when she met her real mom who ran off. "You should still talk to him though. Even if it's just to tell him to bugger off."

"I feel like not saying anything, is better than saying something I might regret." she told her. She could tell Ellie really wanted her to talk to her brother. "But I'll try.." she sighed and they exited the bathroom and sat down. "So, you're here permanently ?" She asked. "Cause I don't think that word's in your vocabulary." Charlie said and bit her lip as soon as she did. There was a lot of things she wanted to say like she missed him a lot, but none of that was coming out. Sam sighed a bit realizing this was going to be even more difficult then he thought. "P-E-R-M-A-N-E-N-T." "See it is too. in fact I'm searching for apartments right now..you'll see." he told her, trying to prove that he was here for good. "So, can you show me around? I don't know this place at a-" Charlie cut him off by saying she had to go. Her grandparents got up to leave as well, then they were gone. Sam sat there taking a deep breathe. "Hey.." he said to Ellie. "When do you get off work?" he asked.

(I just realised they never got their pizza hahaha oops)
After exiting the bathroom, Ellie went back to the counter as a few people started to come in to order. She didn't have to hear what was being said between Sam and Charlie to know that things weren't going well between them. Charlie's face said it all. She sighed and scribbled down the next order, handing it to Josh. When she looked back at the table Charlie had been sitting at she was surprised to see that they had all gone, leaving Sam alone. She picked up her phone and texted Charlie.
"You okay? x"
Then looked over at Sam who was approaching her. Ellie looked over at the clock realising her shift was nearly over. "In about five minutes. How come?"

(lol! no worries hahaha.) Charlie felt her phone buzz and saw that it was a text from Ellie. She read it, and sighed again.
Yeah...I'm fine. I'm just not ready to talk to him, yet. Is he still there? she sent the text to Ellie as Charlie and her grandparents were walking to the front door.
Same looked at her. "Oh well, I was just wondering..maybe you could show me around?" he asked her. He also wanted to see what Charlie had talked to her about in the bathroom. Obviously it was too private to say aloud.

Ellie was the type of person that would be more than happy to show anyone around but with Sam, it was different. He was Charlie's brother and she didn't want to make things complicated if she be friended someone that Charlie didn't want her to her.. but, she didn't want to just reject him. "Yeah, sure. As soon as I get off, we'll go." She told him.
Ellie looked down at her phone and felt a twing of guilt play at her.
"I understand. Uh, yeah he is. He asked me to show him around.. I-I had to say yes. I'm sorry, I'd just feel really bad if I just rejected him.. y'know?".
She put her phone in her pocket and went to clean one last table before hanging up her apron. Ellie put her hair up and walked over to Sam. "Ready to go?" She smiled.

Charlie's phone buzzed and she responded to the text.
Yeah..I understand. I'm not gonna be mad if you talk to him..ya know? And anyways better you than me. she sent the text and sighed.
Sam looked back at Ellie after he finished off his soda. "Yup!" he said and held the door open for her as they went out to explore the city.

"So, whats the deal with you and Charlie?" Ellie had to ask. "I mean, I know Charlie's side of it.. what's yours?". She looked at him and then realised he didn't really even know her. "Sorry. You probably think I'm prying."

He sighed a bit. "No, it's fine. I mean after this, it's a little weird to not explain what just went down." he admitted. "My parents were fighting. Partially about me, because I wanted to go off and play music, and they never really supported that--I'm a drummer." he added. "And it just became too much. So I went off and toured a little bit with some band, but it didn't work out so well. So, I came home and my parents told me that they sent Charlie here.." "So here I am." he explained.

When Ellie heard Sam's side of the story what he did didn't seem so bad any more. He was just following his dream and being at home wasn't a way for him to do that. She nodded her head. "I think Charlie feels like you.. abandoned her when she needed you most." "I think, if you just talk to her. Try to get her to see it from you're point of view, she'll understand.". Even if Charlie wouldn't talk to him, she'd still listen.

"I know she does. And honestly, there's not a day that I don't regret leaving just for that reason. But I couldn't stand it anymore." he explained. He then stopped, realizing he just divulged his life to a stranger..I guess she wasn't that much of a stranger being Charlie's best friend and all. "Charlie won't talk to me. You saw what happened in there.." he added. "Out of all the e-mails i sent to her, she responded once. ONCE."

(Oops, this was supposed to be Ellie)
She smiled a little, although it was a serious situation. That definitely sounded like something Charlie would do. "Look, you know how stubborn she is. You, as her brother, probably have seen it more than others and even if she's ignoring you, that doesn't mean she's not listening.". Ellie shoved her hands in her jacket pockets as she felt a cool breeze touch her face. "All those emails you sent her that she didn't respond to. That doesn't mean she still didn't read them, so happy to hear from you.". "If you talk to her, she'll listen."

Sam listened intently as Ellie spoke. She did have a good point. "But will she even stay long enough to listen? " he asked.. "I just don't know how to get through to her. I knew it was gonna be hard to get through to her, but I didn't think it would be this difficult." he explained.

"I'll try and talk to her. Convince her to at least just hear you out and then after that.." She sighed. "Then, if she's still mad I'm not sure what..". Ellie bit her lip wishing things were easier for Charlie. Sam seemed like he really wanted to make up for lost time.

He stopped and hugged her, which was probably awkward. But he was really grateful. "Thank you." he told her, and let go. "Sorry, i just..there's no way I can do this on my own." he confessed. "It's okay..if she doesn't talk to me after that, at least you tried."
