It was around 6:45, and Jake just got done getting ready.
Sorry i'm a little late! On my way. :)
He sent the text, kissed Jemma and Mason goodbye, and took his car to the address Charlie sent. She got into the car, and he immediately smiled. He just couldn't help it. "You look great." He said, and started the car back up and drove.
About 10 minutes later, they pulled up to The Cheesecake Factory. "I hope you saved enough room in your stomach for some dessert?" He smiled, and got out of the car. He opened the door for her, and she stepped out. "This is only the beginning." He said as they walked in. When they are done eating here, he's going to take her mini golfing. There's a new course that just opened last weekend, and he went there with his little siblings. It's probably going to look beautiful at night with all the lights surrounding it.
They sat down at a booth, and ordered water. (I've never been to a cheesecake factory, so I don't even know what's there.. besides cheesecake of course hah :D) He looked up at her from his menu, and just smiled. She's beautiful. He looked back down, "What's catching your eye?" He asked, looking at all the choices.

Charlie smiled when Jake pulled up in his car. Her grandparents were peering through the curtains, and she hoped he didn't notice that. So embarrassing. They pulled up to the Cheescake Factory which was one of her favorite restaurants and sat down "Pretty much the whole menu." she laughed a bit, looking at all of the dessert choices. "I think banana cream cheescake looks pretty good." she smiled. "What about you?" (it's like an actual restaurant! with reaaaally good food, but their cheesecake is what it's known for! haha )

"Right?" He laughed a little. "I'm thinking that too. That's normally what I get when I come here." He said, putting down his menu, waiting for the waiter to come by. "So, tell me about yourself. Are you in any sports?" Jake asked her.

"Really? It's SO delicious!" she told him. When he asked about herself she didn't really know what to say. "Not really a sports person." she laughed. "If I play sports, it's just for fun." "What about you?" Charlie asked.

He nodded, "Yeah, I agree. I play sports just for fun too. Mainly basketball and swimming. I'm thinking of joining the basketball team this year though." Jake told her. "I've been homeschooled my whole life.. this is the first year I'm going to an actual school."

Charlie practically choked on her water, as he talked about joining the basketball ball team. Jordan was the captain..seriously? She bit her lip and tried to clear her head. "Sorry." she coughed. "Went down the wrong way." she laughed a bit. "Anyways, that's cool. I bet you're great." she smiled a bit. "Oh wow, so you must be pretty excited to start school, huh?" she asked.

He laughed as he handed her a napkin. "Everything okay?" He asked, smiling. It seems like she reacted weirdly to something he said. Basketball? Swimming? Homeschooling? He doesn't really know. Then she said how excited he must be. he laughed a little, "Ehh, I guess you could say that.." he said in a sarcastic tone. "I'm excited to be out of the house, not being with my parents all the time because they can get annoying real fast, but I just don't know what to expect, you know? I can adapt easily to new things though." He smiled. The waitress came by and we ordered our desserts, and then she left again.

Charlie laughed a bit. "Yeah I'm fine. Thanks!" she said and wiped her mouth with the napkin. "Oh, yeah I get what you mean. Well, this school is definitely..different." she told him. "But it's good that you can adapt easily. It's just not a very strict high school. Which..can be good and bad." she explained. "When do you start?"

"I start this week actually, on Monday. I have my schedule at home, i'll call you tonight and tell you my schedule. Maybe we have the same classes?" He smiled. "How's school going for you so far?" He asked. The dessert came, and we began eating. "It's like.. heaven in my mouth.." He said taking a couple of bites.

"Maybe! I hope so." she smiled a bit. Charlie laughed at his comment on the cheesecake. she took a bite. "It really is. I can't imagine anything tasting any better." she laughed. Then, he asked he'd how schools been. "It's been okay." she told him. "I mean I've only been here about 2 months, so not enought to actually say." she told him. Even though schools been hell, she didn't want to go into that explanation. Cause that would lead to the mean girls and her ex, and she just didn't want to deal with that. "You'll meet some pretty cool people. I'm sure of it." she smiled.

"I lives in Florida." She told him. "It's a lot warmer there than it is here." she randomly added. "Where did you move from?" she asked. It must be hard to pick up a whole entire family and move somewhere else.

"I bet." Jake laughed a little. "That's cool though!" He said. "I lived in LA for awhile, but soon moved here. So I lived here probably 13 out of my 17 years." He laughed a bit. "It's cool, I really like it here, but I like LA better."

Charlie looked confused for a second. She thought he was new to the town. "Oh, I thought you were new to Kingswood." she told him. "So, even though you were homeschooled, do you know a lot of people here?" she asked him. " "Oh, LA seems amazing. It's basically where everything happens." she grinned.

(Shoot! I might have said that he was new before. oops!! hahah)
He shook his head, "Nope. Just new to school. I really don't talk to anyone my age, so when I go to school everyone is going to think I just moved here, when i've lived here most of my life. That's what I hate about being homeschooled." Jake sighed. He nodded, "I know a lot of people here, just none my age. But I still have friends and whatnot." He smiled. "I know! It is amazing. Kingswood is so much smaller and peaceful though, you know?"
