After the drama teacher gave the drama class the script for the new play, they gave the students about a week to memorize the lines. It wasn't really fair that everyone was forced to audition, though. Charlie walked in and sat down with Ellie, Alex and Sean. "So are you guys ready to audition?" she asked them. As soon as she said that, Victoria walked through the doors looking confident; No surprise. The drama teacher probably should have handed her the part, cause Victoria wouldn't let anyone steal her part. That's when Charlie realized she actually wanted the lead..in a way, she could get back at Victoria for everything she did to her. & Victoria would freak if she lost the part..especially to Charlie. The teacher stood on the stage explaining the audition process. "Alright, up first, (next poster) ." she said and the class clapped for them.

Jordan walked into drama class late. He skipped school the last lesson so he'd only found about about the stupid play a day or so before auditions. As he walked towards a empty chair that sat between his friend Daniel and Victoria, the teacher chimed out, "Good to see that you could join us Mr. Stetson.". Jordan just nodded and took his seat, wanting to get this over and done with. Truth be told, Jordan was a really good actor. He could memorize his lines and perform them perfectly in his sleep but he never applied himself in class. He had a reputation to uphold and being the perfect drama student didn't exactly fit with captain of the basketball status.
"Alright, up first.." The teacher said looking at the list, "Ooh how perfect. It's the man who's too cool to abide by time, Jordan Stetson.". A few people giggled along at the teachers comments as the rest of the class clapped as he walked onto the stage. He smiled sheepishly before beginning to recite his lines of the choosen scene. His eyes flickered to Charlie at it was as if, without him even trying, he was able to speak the words so clearly as if they were his own. After he finished the scene, he could see it all over the teacher's face that she was surprised by his audition. Hey, he surprised himself. He'd had like zero preparation time and he barely put in any effort. He didn't want the lead part. But it was as if, Charlie made it.. real?. She made the words come out exactly like they should. Jordan took his seat and everyone slapped. Charlie made it real. She made it all make sense. That's too corny, he thought.. but it was the truth. Shit, he really did love her. "Thank you Jordan, up next is.."

"oh, Charlie!" she said in her perky voice. Charlie felt like she was about to throw up when she got up and walked to the stage. Not only did she have to audition second, but right after Jordan?! His performance surprised her, it surprised everybody and she was sure that he would get the part. Charlie stood in the middle of the stage, took a deep breathe and started reciting the lines. It was a sad scene, thE character was upset, and Charlie used all of the hell she was put through to her advantage. By the end of the scene she was in tears. She finished the scene and she felt good about it, she wasn't sure if it was great. She glanced at Jordan, before she sat down in her seat. That was horrible.." Charlie said to herself.

Charlie was called up next and Jordan shifted uncomfortably in his seat. Once she began, every bit of nervousness you could see on her face began to fade. Every word she spoke was believable. It was as if she was this character. That those words were hers, not her characters. Jordan was astounded. By the end, she was in tears and Jordan wanted to look away but he couldn't. He watched her take a seat. He couldn't take his eyes off of her.

Charlie was shaking a bit after her audition. Probably overwhelmed by all of the emotions. Charlie got a high five from Elli and she just smiled. She saw Jordan in a seat across from them and glanced at him, only to realize he was already staring at her. She looked down and broke off the eye contact. "We've had some good auditions so far! Such emotion!" she squared. "Up next, Ellie!" she said. "Go get em!" Charlie smiled as Ellie walked up.

One by one everyone went up to have their audition and now it was Ellie's turn. With a deep breathe she walked up to the stage and began to recite her eyes. Being in front of people wasn't that big of a deal for her as she did it regularly with her dance concerts but somehow this time the nerves got her. After she had finished, she smiled and went back to her seat. "I can't feel my legs." She whispered to Charlie with a laugh as the next person went up.

Charlie laughed, and said "You're fine. That was great." as Alex went up to do his audition. He didn't really want a huge part in the play, especially since he hasn't been at this school long. He started the monologue he memorized, and did..okay. He didn't feel completely confident, but he felt that he did the best he could. He finished and everyone clapped and it was the next person's turn. Alex sat back down and turned to Ellie. "That was awful." he said. "But I'm so glad it's over with."

She hit his arm playfully, "Oh be quiet! You did great." Ellie grinned.

"If by great you mean horrible, than i agree." he smirked. "As much as I'd hate to say it, Jordan did the best." he admitted. "James..is James here?" the teacher said as James got up to do his audition.

For a moment Ellie couldn't remember why Alex seem to have resentment towards Jordan but then she realised. The party. "How weird is that?!" "You seem him and you seem him as the sporty jock guy but the guy can really act.." Ellie admitted in a whisper.

"Exactly..it's just very uncommon." he told her. "Who do you think's gonna get the lead?" Alex was almost positive that Jordan would, and he thought that Ellie did a pretty good job. And as much as Alex tried to play it cool, if they kissed..she might fall for him. Alex shifted uncomfortably in his seat, waiting for Ellie to answer.

"It's hard to say.". Ellie's eyes flickered towards James who was just finishing up his audition. "I think probably Jordan or you for the male.. and for the female? I'm not sure. I really hope it's Charlie but I don't want her to be put in an awkward position." She shrugged her shoulders, "It could be anyone. Who do you think?". Ellie noticed Alex get lost in thought and shift uncomfortably in his seat. "Everything okay?" She asked him with a smile on his face.

Alex laughed a bit when she mentioned he could be the lead. I guess anything's possible. "Oh..that would be awkward huh?" he asked her, remembering the party. What a douche. "I think Jordan..and maybe you?" he told her. "yeah, yeah yeah..i'm fine." he smiled. "I'm just getting really bored now.." he whispered.

Ellie doubted that she would get the lead but she had to think about the possibility. That could be awkward. Having on stage.. passionate love scenes with the kind of ex of Ellie's best friend who is now dating Victoria who hates Ellie while also having to do it in front of Alex. Awkward. "I think no matter who gets it with all these love scenes.. it's going to be awkward for everyone." Ellie commented. She laughed quietly, "I'm bored too. I think that this is the last one though." She said nodding her head towards the girl who'd just gone up on stage.

Alex nodded his head, agreeing with everything. "You think they would tone it down a bit. Especially for a high school." Alex made a sigh of relief. "Seriously, thank god!" he laughed and the school bell rang. "That was possible the worst hour and a half of school ever.."
