Charlie was hurting, and that was no surprise. It's bad enough breaking up with someone and losing them, but what made it worse was having Victoria and his whole posse bully her, and Ellie as well. Because she wanted to avoid all of the drama, Charlie started spending most of her time in the music room, writing. No one really ever heard her sing, and no one ever came into the music room..besides people who were in that class. She walked in with a pad of lyrics that she wrote the night before. She walked to the piano and started playing music. She sang the second verse : I tried not to fall so far for you, now I can't get away from anything you say. You make me feel nervous and stupid whenever I tell you I'm tired of playing games. I don't wanna tell a lie, I don't wanna have to hide.
It's on the line I've waited for a sign, I see it in your eyes, I, I know you really feel the same. I need to know if I should raise or fold, my heart is stuck on hold, I, I wanna know which way to go. I can't love alone.
Oh, I can't stay here wonderin' if you want me. If you don't take me, you should leave. she thought she heard someone, and she was praying that she was mistaken. Minus some of her close friends, no one had ever hear her sing.

Zan's english teacher asked for a volunteer to deliver a note to the music teacher. Zan's hand was up in an instant, so he got to do it. He loved running errands because he could get out of class and please the teacher at the same time.
Zan was handed the note and told that, if the teacher wasn't there, to leave it on the desk. Zan said ok and left.
He wondered what the note was about, and considered reading it, but he decided not to. He didn't want to pry, and it was probably nothing that he would be interested in anyway.
As Zan walked nearer to the music room he, unsurprisingly, heard music. He didn't know much about music, but it sounded good. It was a sappy love related song though. A lot of the music he had heard of love related. He wasn't sure why that was.
He walked into the room. It was empty, except for the girl at the piano. The music was clearly coming from her.

When an unfamiliar face walked in, Charlie froze. Did he hear her singing? She stopped playing and looked at him. "Do you need something?" she asked, her voice a little shaky.

"I just need to deliver this note" he said, holding it up. He looked around and put it on what looked to be the teacher’s desk. Then he looked over to her. "Your song was good. Why did you stop playing?" He didn't know that some artist were nervous about other people witnessing their work.

Charlied tensed up a bit. "W-well I didn't want to be rude and play while you came in the room." she told him. "I was just trying to be polite." she told him.

"Um... ok" he said, although he didn't really get why it would be rude. "Well, bye" he told her, heading toward the door. He walked into the door and turned back. "Keep playing, that song was good." He then walked out the door and closed it, but he didn't walk away.

Charlie felt kind of bad, she didn't mean to kick him out. She was just nervous. He walked out but he didn't leave the front door. Charlie smiled at his compliment, took a deep breathe and got up. She walked over to the front door. "Sorry, I just..i don't really play in front of people."

"That's ok" he said. He wasn't sure why she wouldn't want to play in front of people. Maybe she had low self-esteem. He had been hoping to listen to her play through the door, but apparently she knew that he was there. He walked away and went back to class.
