Life in Kingswood around Jade lately had been full of drama and unspoken feelings. She knew that the group wouldn't feel like having a party but it was exactly what they needed right about now.
Jade stood in front of the mirror, finishing off the last touches to her eye shadow. She was using her new Naked2 palette that was a gift from her mom. Jade was excited to use it straight away as she'd been waiting for it for months. "You look beautiful honey. Have a good time tonight." Her mom said, kissing her on the cheek as she walked out the door. Usually Jade wouldn't have a problem with her family being around at her parties but it was her 18th. This party was a strict friends only event. Her mom had planned a special dinner for her the next night anyway so her mom didn't mind being left at the house for the night.
The party was held at Justice Hall, the local recreational centre. Everyone from school was invited. You could have as many plus ones as you like. The room was huge, set up with fairy lights and various items fitting in with the dress code, black and white. Jade was standing by, chatting with the dj when her first few guests walked through the mahogany doors.

Charlie walked through the doors with the group. They walked over to Jade. "Happy Birthday!" Charlie smiled, and hugged her. "This place looks amazing!" she grinned. It was absolutely stunning. There were fairy lights everywhere.

A smile spread across the birthday girls face as Charlie and her friends walked inside. "Thanks Charlie!" She grinned. "Glad that you could make it.". When Jade said that, she meant it. With all the drama that had been going on, she was surprised that the group found the courage to walk outside their doors.

To say that their was a bit of a strain on the group dynamic would have to be the understatement of the century. As Charlie and the rest made casual conversation with Jade, Ellie thought about everything that had been going on. Ellie and Sean had just gone through a break up but there was still the occasional lingering longing eye contact between the pair. Sean was still recovering, yet he came to the party, and their was pressure on Ellie to make a decision about Julliard and if she were going to accept the scholarship whilst also battling anorexia and being bulimic. On top of that, there was Jade. Suicidal from her last break up. She was making the moves onto Sean whilst forming a good friendship with Charlie, much to Ellie's disliking. Jade and herself did not get along at all. Charlie has a thing going on with Jordan but it hasn't really gone anywhere because there's the complicated ex, Tiffany who's been trying to make Jordan jealous by clinging onto James. James, ex friend of Sean, who's making the moves on both Ellie and Charlie. Sienna aka party girl, best friend of both Ellie and Charlie has a disliking towards both Jordan and Sean but there is past drunken night between herself and Jordan.
Just thinking about all the complications that had been going on throughout the group recently made Ellie's head spin. There was no way that this night was going to run smoothly and if Jade thought she would be able to make that work, she's kidding herself.

"Me too!" She smiled to Jade. Charlie knew that life wasn't necessarily..easy for her, recently. Charlie looked at the group. How did everyone get so caught in this web of endless drama?? Charlie was standing next to Jordan, who clearly was focused on Tiffany flirting with James. She sighed a bit, she knew she promised Jordan that she wouldn't let tiffany come between their friendship, but she decided that a relationship with him wouldn't exactly be a great idea..at least at the moment. She tried to clear her head and decided to distance herself for a while. She looked at Ellie, who seemed really lost in her thoughts, and walked over. "Hey, you okay?" she asked Ellie, who seemed to be staring off into the distance.

Pretending to be fine, Ellie faked a smile, something that she had gotten so good at that even Charlie couldn't see through. "Yeah, I'm fine." She told her. "I was just looking around the group, thinking about everything that's been going on." "I can just see that tonight something will happen and it'll just me one more problem to add onto that list."

Charlie sighed. "That's probably true..but you never know." she paused. "It could be a good night after all. I mean, i hope it is..i wouldn't want there to be drama at Jade's party." she explained, then went back to talking about the rest of the group. "I know..it's so strange to see how quick things changed." she sighed and glanced at Jordan, then back to Ellie. "We need to go out, and find new people." she told ellie, completely serious. "Maybe it'll get your mind off of the breakup.." she bit her lip.

Even though Ellie didn't enjoy Jade's company, she too hoped that the party was a goodnight. When Charlie mentioned that they need to find new people, Ellie was quick to agree. "Are things still.. complicated with you and Jordan then?". She didn't even had to say a word, Charlie's facial said it all. Grabbing her best friends hand, Ellie lead the pair out towards the dance floor. After a few minutes of dancing she nodded her head towards a cute boy awkwardly dancing by himself who Charlie seemed to have grabbed the attention of. "You should go dance with him! He's been checking you out ever since we got here!" She told her, grinning. "Plus, you know who is watching.". Obviously talking about Jordan.

Charlie was pretty hesitant to dance with him, especially since she was not very forward with guys. But she also wasn't that girl, who tried to make guys jealous by flirting with other guys. Charlie looked at Ellie. "Are you kidding me? No he has not!" she told her best friend, and looked at Jordan, still hanging around Tiffany. So not over her. Charlie then thought it was the best idea ever. "Okay, if you dance with...him." she pointed to a cute guy on the dancefloor, "I'll dance with him." She explained.

Ellie's eye quickly flickered over towards Sean, unsure of how he'd feel about it. When seeing Jade clung to him, Ellie quickly agreed. Both girls moved towards their guys and slowly approached them. The guy that Ellie was dancing with introduced himself as Alex. He moved his hands to her hip and pulled her closer whilst they were dancing. Ellie looked over towards Charlie quickly. Her guy was doing the same but she seemed a bit on edge. She knew this wasn't exactly in Charlie's comfort zone but if she backed away, Jordan would think it was because of him and be all smug.

To say that Jordan had been quite held back with making the moves on Charlie, would be an understatement. The pair had been on one or two dates and Jordan knew how he felt about her. He wanted everything to be perfect before he asked Charlie officially to be his girlfriend. Yes, underneath the cool guy exterior there is a romantic inside. No opportunity seemed good enough when they were alone because Tiffany would barge in. Ugh.
Jade's 18th was no expectation. Jordan had to sat there with the group, ex girlfriend Tiffany all over him just until she was drunk enough to walk away. The whole time Jordan had been keeping his eyes on Charlie. He watched as she and Ellie walked over to the dance floor before within a matter of minutes, they split and went for two guys. Seeing Charlie dance with another guy hit Jordan like a ton of bricks. Jealousy wasn't something that he was familiar with. All that he knew is that he wanted to punch him in the face and yell at him for going around his girl. But, he couldn't because Charlie wasn't his girlfriend.. Jordan looked over at Sean whose eyes were too pinned towards the dance floor. He looked like he felt just about as great as Jordan did. Girls. Always bringing drama.

Alex was pretty new to the town, but he met Jade right away. She was pretty much one of his only friends, minus a few guys from the baseball team. He noticed a pretty brunette drag her friend on the dance floor, and immediately wanted to dance with her. She eventually came up to him, and they started dancing. He figured her friend might have put her up to it, but he didn't care. "You're a good dancer." he said, smirking/smiling whilst dancing with Ellie.

Looking back at Alex, she smiled a bit. "So are you." She grinned. As the lights changed colours, she was able to see what he looked like a bit better than before and wow, Ellie found him very attractive. After the song finished, they stopped to get a drink. Ellie wasn't sure if he drunk alcohol or not but there was a lot of it at the party. As she picked up a beer, she offered him one too. Alex took it but she didn't know if he was just being polite or he actually did drunk. "So, how do you know Jade?" Ellie asked him as she opened up her bottle before taking a sip.

Alex was happy that she kept talking to him, she offered him a beer and he accepted. Alex was a pretty big party boy, not to the point where he got sloppy, but still. "Thanks." he said and took a sip. "Uh, the first day of school. She must have noticed I was lost, and helped show me around." "How do you know her?" he asked.

Tiffany was what you call, wasted. She barely knew what she was doing, and she hit on pretty much every guy at the party. She was lingering towards Jordan, but found another guy and danced with him. After a while- And a few more drinks, Tiffany saw Jordan across the room. It instantly hit her that she missed him. Really missed him. She walked across the room to talk to him. "Jordan..I'm sorry. i was the worst girlfriend eveeeeerrrr." she said, slurring her words. "You were perfect, we were peeerrrfect together and now it's all ruined." she said starting to cry. She was being completely honest. You know what the say, 'Drunk words, sober thoughts.'
