Zan Kirks

[Zan Kirks]

Zan grew up with a very disturbed mother. He learned when to avoid her and was usually able to get out of the house when she was acting like she might hurt him (although he couldn't always). They lived in a small house in the middle of the wilderness. He liked to play outside, but that included throwing rocks at animals and tearing up plants. As a kid, he didn't know munch about good in the world, until he met Mr. Kirks, who had moved into a cabin a few miles away. Mr. Kirks taught him about things that he had never before heard of, gave him food when his mother forgot to feed him and let him stay at his house when she was dangerous to be around.

Then one day, when he was nine, his mother got arrested. Mr. Kirks arranged for Zan to stay with him and soon adopted him. Then they moved to a regular town (before moving here five-years-later). Zan learned how to be a normal boy, although he knew that he would never really be one.

He is fifteen now
He worries that people will find out who his mother is
He has some burns and scars from deep cuts (which he got when his mother was in a bad mood)
He scares easily, but can be very tough at times
He's usualy outgoing, but can be shy at times
Him and his adoptive father have a Germen Shepherd dog named Keiko
