"Look, Kate came back.. and there was just this rush of emotion. I didn't except it. I-I don't think we should be together anymore.." The words from the conversation she had on the phone to her boyfriend replayed over and over again, piercing her heart a little bit more every time.
Jade sat on the floor, curled up into a ball, tears streaming down her face, wondering where she went wrong. Before she left to go back to Kingswood, everything was fine, they were happy. Then what? His ex comes back and everything they had just disappears?
She didn't want to live with this. It was too painful. Being without him, she couldn't do it. Her last break up had torn her apart and the way she felt about him was nothing compared to how she felt about Tom. There was nothing she could do to get him back. He was millions of miles away.. with his ex girlfriend. Jade sighed and forced herself up, walking out on the balcony to get some air. Leaning up against the bars, she looked down towards the ground. Jade was always one to felt sick when standing on a balcony due to her fear of heights but this time, she felt intrigued. Wondering what it'd feel like to just.. jump and that'd be it. Not more hurting. No more heart ache. Nothing. She'd be dead. Jade climbed over to the balcony onto the other side. Her hands were gripped to the bars and her feet were almost hanging off the edge. Jade took in a deep breathe and prepared herself to let go and fall to her death.

Charlie was taking a walk, since she didn't have a car to get around town. She had her ipod in, listening to music, when something caught her eye. The girl looked a little familiar. Then, Charlie noticed she looked like she was about to jump. She ripped out the earbuds from her ear. "No! Don't!" She yelled as she crossed the street and ran over to the girl who was about to commit suicide. As she got closer, she realized it was Jade, from the restaurant.

Jade's eyes snapped open when she heard someone yell out to her. She looked down to see that it was Charlie. A girl she'd met at the restaurant and the club the other night. She ignored her, not wanting to let anyone convince her out of it. She dangled her feet forward, waiting for the courage to drop.

This exact thing happened to her friend, and she wasn't gonna let this happen to Jade. "Jade!" She yelled, remembering her name. "Jade.. please don't!" She yelled again, shaking this time. "Trust me, it's NOT worth it."

Luckily, the streets were pretty empty so Charlie wasn't drawing too much attention to the situation. "It doesn't matter." She hissed, "Just go.".

Jade sounded pissed that Charlie was stopping her. "Yes, it does matter. What do you mean it doesn't matter?" She asked. "No." she said firmly. "I'm not going anywhere until you get down from there." She explained. She didn't care if she barely knew Jade, this was not going to end badly.

She sighed. "Then you'll just have to move so that I don't squish you on the way done." Jade said as she released on hand off the bars.

Charlie was adamant, she wasn't gonna let Jade just take her life. "Whatever your reasoning behind this is, it will get better." she told her. "Just please-Don't jump."

Jade took a deep breath trying to ignore Charlie. Now, there was more attention drawn towards Jade. Lots of people were telling her not to do it. It wasn't until Jade's foot almost slipped, that she went back on the other safe side of the balcony and sat there, crying. She was so scared when her foot slipped. It made her realise.. this wasn't what she wanted. Jade was so weak. She couldn't even kill herself right..

Charlie was basically watching a person attempt to kill herself, and she knew she would never forgive herself if she did die. She saw her almost fall, and Charlie felt sick. She tried to figure out a way to get up there. Charlie saw a railing on the side, that led up to one of the balconies. She climbed over another balcony carefully, and got onto Jade's balcony. "A-are you okay?" She said, scared that she still might jump.

Jade shrugged his shoulders, refusing to look up from the ground. "I guess so.." "Sorry I scared you like that." She said rubbing her eyes.

Charlie felt a little more calm once Jade said she was sorry. Good, she knew it was a mistake. "That's okay." She sighed a bit. "Do you need help?" She lent her a hand, to help her to the other side of the balcony.

Charlie got her to safety and Jade walked back into her hotel room, with Charlie following behind. Closing the door to the balcony behind them, Jade flopped onto the bed. "I guess I should explain..". It was such a lame reason in actual fact.
