Ellie looked down and sighed. "He doesn't love me, Charlie.". She was just guessing that he did. Picking up her keys and phone, Ellie headed towards the door. "Yes, and that's exactly what he'll have. His friends.". She had decided to just pass on a shower and she drove herself and Charlie back to the hospital.

The whole ride there, Charlie still couldn't convince her. "Okay, but you do realize that he's heartbroken now right?" "That's not gonna make him feel better." she told her, no matter how harsh it was, that's what she needed to hear.

Ellie pretty much just ignored what Charlie said. Heartbreak was something that people get over eventually. Cancer.. well that's a whole different story. The rest of the ride was silent and awkward.
Once arriving at the hospital, they got out of the car and headed straight to Sean's room. As they were walking, Ellie pulled out her phone from her pocket. She had a message from James from earlier that day. A photo of Sean and Jade getting rather cosy. Why had James sent her this? Did she need to be concerned?.
Walking into Sean's room, Jade had a chair up against the bed. She was comforting Sean. Jealousy hit her like a knife piercing straight through her heart. Ellie knew that she had been to the one to break up with Sean but ugh.

Sean heard the door open, and his head whipped up. A smile started to form when he saw Ellie, but immediately he remembered everything. "Hi." He whispered to her and Charlie. He sighed, only wanting to go home.

Even him saying hi to her was just so sad. "How you feeling?" She asked him.

"Like crap." He admitted. No matter how much medicine and fluids they pumped into him, he would always feel terrible. His body ached. His head hurt terribly, and he felt drained of all emotion and energy. He was feeling awful mentally and physically. Everything just was crashing down.

Ellie frowned. That wasn't what she wanted to hear. She was hoping the medicine would have kicked in by and relieved him of some of the physical pain. "Can I get you anything?" She said, biting her lip.

Could Ellie bring Sean anything? Yeah, you could get me my best friend back. My girlfriend. Everything I've learned to care for and love. He wished he could just think his thoughts out loud. "Nope." He pressed his lips together. "You all really don't have to stay. I'm sure I'll be home tonight or tomorrow or something and I'm sure you have better things to do."

"We're not going to just leave you here like this." she sighed. She was pretty sure everyone felt the same. Charlie just wished that she could talk some sense into Ellie.

Ellie decided that Sean didn't really want her around but that didn't mean she was gonna leave, she just wouldn't talk much. She took a seat besides James who also hadn't said much. She frowned as she noticed the bruise forming on his right cheek. Feeling uncomfortable, Ellie got back up and went downstairs to the cafe that was connected onto the hospital. Walking back towards the elevator, with five hot coffees, of course Ellie had to trip pouring hot coffee on her. "Ow!" She winced in pain, placing the rest of the coffees on the ground. "Need some help?" A man with a slight irish accent said. Ellie looked up to see an extremely attractive male nurse standing in front of her. She just smiled, "It's okay but thanks.". He shook his leading her towards his bench. "Have this." He said holding out a jacket for Ellie to take. At first Ellie was relucant to wear it but she really didn't want to be staying in his coffee staines shirt. Ducking into the bathroom, she took off her top and replaced it with the nurses casual jacket that he had for when he left the hospital. "Thank you so much." She smiled at him, picking up her coffees and going back to Sean's room.
She hoped that no one would notice her change of different clothes. It would sound completely wrong that the nurse now had her stained shirt and gave her his jacket. It would seem like a cover up for that they sneaked off and had fun. Ellie placed the coffees on the table and went back to the silence she had been doing previously. She shoved her hands in her pocket to find their was something in the right one. Pulling it out to examine it, she found that the nurse had scribbled on his number on a piece of paper and put it in there. She smiled a bit. What a sneaky move.

Sean watched Ellie leave, and it took her awhile just to go down to the cafe. She came back in a different jacket, but Sean just assumed she got it from someone's car or something. She sat down, and grinned to herself looking at a piece of paper. "What's so funny?" He squinted his eyes so they were almost shut, as if it would help him see what was written on the piece of paper.

James peered over to see what it was before Ellie had the time to shove it back in her.. his pocket. She gave a look towards James, as if don't you dare say anything. James grinned and nodded and Ellie looked back to Sean. "It's nothing." She told him. "She got hit on as soon as you guys broke up! Hah!" James yelled out. Ellie glared at James. Why did he have to do that?

Sean felt his arms grow numb, and he couldn't help but glare over at Ellie. He didn't mean it in a nasty way, but it just came across that way. "Oh." He swallowed hard. "Guess today's just not my day." He spat out, ready to fly back home to Ireland.

Jade looked over at Sean as soon as James yelled out about Ellie getting sick. He looked so sad. What a bitch, is all that Jade could think. She broke up with the guy who's basically on her death bed then she leaves the room for five minutes and comes back with a new guys number and just happens to parade it around in front of Sean. "You are such a little bitch." Jade told her straight out. Jade was never one to really be big on confrontation but she could feel an adrenalin rush pumping through her veins. "You kick a man down when he's already broken, then you go and slut it up with some other guy? And you have the guts to parade it around in front of him? What is wrong with you?". She knew she'd regret being this harsh but it was the truth. "Slut." She mumbled.

Ellie couldn't believe the words that were coming out of this girls mouth. "Excuse me, who do you think you are? You know nothing about me.". "You just trail in on, acting like you know everything because you sat next to Sean in one class? Well you don't." She shot back at her. How dare this Jade girl call Ellie a slut when she didn't even know the full story or care to ask. "All I know is that while you were sitting there in your own little world, Sean punched James for you. He was protecting what you and Sean had or whatever. And look where it got him," Jade pointed towards Sean in the bed. Ellie's eyes fell over towards Sean. She tried to hold eye contact with him but she couldn't. There was too much pain and hurting in his. It brought up tears in Ellie's eyes.
