The last few hours had been some what of a blur for James. One minute they were in the class room, fighting about Ellie or something dumb now then everything seemed to be going in ultra speed. The hospital, Sean being sick, Ellie breaking up with him, her fighting with Jade, Charlie taking him home, all of it. It was a blur.
That night, James layed down on his bed feeling guilt weighing heavily upon him. The dude was sick and James had been too busy toying with his mind to even notice the obvious signs. Getting out his phone, he sent a text to Charlie.
How you holding up with all this? It's insane hey..
Would Sean make it? How much longer could he hold on?. Was he destined for the same ending as his sister had gotten?. Even if James and Sean weren't friends any more, the thought still hit James pretty hard.

Charlie and Ellie were talking about the breakup when Charlie got a text. She checked her phone, and was surprised to see it was James. She hesitated to answer it, but she did.
I'm alright, i guess..Ellie, not so much. :/ Yeah, it really is insane. How are you holding up? I heard you & sean got into a 'fight' right before this happened..? she sent the message and put it by her.

Oh.. yeah kind of I guess. Just stupid stuff. He was getting cosy with Jade and I was just being all stupid sending the photos to Ellie and stuff.
James felt even more guilty about what he had done as he was writing it. He added on a bit to the text before sending it back to Charlie.
I was so dumb trying to toy with his head.. It, like, triggered it...
It triggered his sickness getting the better of him. If he died, it'd be all James' fault and he would have to carry that with him for the rest of his life.

Charlie was a bit shocked when she read that. She didn't really want to respond. He seriously was so immature, that he had to take a picture of them? She set her phone down, and got another text. James again. She decided to read what it said. At least he knew it was wrong. Charlie was kind of annoyed with him at this point, and replied.
Yeah...it might have. But honestly, why send those pictures to Ellie? If you like her, tell her. And let her choose..but don't do it that way.
she sent the message and sighed. She sent another text, thinking that might have been too harsh.
But even though that was a really stupid move, you can't blame yourself for Sean having cancer. That is in no way, YOUR fault.

You'd have to be dumb not to be able to tell that Charlie was mad at James. He understand why. She had a good reason to be too.
It had nothing to do with how I feel. It was just like, I thought she should know kind of thing. I mean, what if Sean was kissing another girl when he was with Ellie? You know she wouldn't straight out believe you so you'd need proof... aka photo..
Yeah but I didn't help the situation.

Charlie heard her phone vibrate, and knew it was James. She read the message..ugh, he was just full of excuses.
You wanted to take the picture to get proof, so that they might break up, and you could be with Ellie, right? Am i wrong? Sean isn't like that! And even if he did, that would be for him to tell her. & maybe it didn't help, but it's not your fault. she finished the text and put her phone by her. She turned to Ellie, who seemed confused. "That was James, wondering how we're holding up.." she said and bit her lip.

Charlie didn't know if Ellie knew about the fight between james and sean. She looked at her. "Did you know that James & Sean got into a fight? Do you know why?" she asked. Charlie thought she didn't, because otherwise, she would be mad at him as well.

Ellie had heard that James and Sean had a fight but wasn't sure was it was about. The fact that the boys had a fight, didn't surprise her. They didn't get along much any more. "What'd they fight about?" Ellie became worried. If Charlie was mad, it must have been bad. "..What'd James do?" She realised.

Charlie sighed before explaining. "Sean was talking to Jade, and James assumed that sean was flirting. He wanted to get evidence that Sean was supposedly flirting, and he took a picture of them." Maybe she wouldn't think it was a big deal, but after Charlie finished, she realized that Ellie didn't like Jade.

Ellie picked up her phone that was beside her wondering if James had in the end sent it to her. He had. She opened up the photo to see a photo of Sean and Jade being very.. close. Sighing she closed the photo and put her phone back down. She shrugged a bit. "Stupid thing to do but I guess he was just doing it to look out for me.". At least, that's what why she hoped he was doing it. Not because of some stupid thing like he wanted her to break up with him then cry in his arms.

Charlie wanted to believe that that was the reason why. "That's what he's saying.." she said and picked up her phone to show her. "But i think he likes you..and he just wanted you to be mad at sean, break up and..you know." she said, sighing.

Ellie rolled her eyes. "That's so stupid if that is the reason." She said passing the phone back to Charlie. "He could just tell me how he feels like a normal person.". Although, he knew she'd pick Sean..

"That's exactly what I told him!" she explained to her best friend. And look, he didn't respond. The truth hurts, she thought to herself. Honestly, Charlie was mad at him, but at the same time she thought it was sweet that he at least asked how we were doing.
