A few short days ago, Jordan and Charlie had confessed how they felt about each other. Although the circumstances for Charlie were horrible, Jordan didn't want to not act on what had happened so, he asked her out of a date to the drive in.
The pair sat in the car, as Jordan drove around trying to find a good spot. Once he was pretty happy with a spot that was far enough way so you weren't hurting your neck but close enough so that you could see, he put the car in park. "Have you ever been to a drive in before?" Jordan asked her as he tuned his radio into the station that was written on the side of the building to get the movie. "A lot of people I know have never been." He clarified.

Charlie was excited to be at a Drive In. In all honestly, she never expected a date with Jordan to be like this, so she was pleasantly surprised. He asked her if she's ever been, "No, i've never been!" She told him. "I've seen them in movies, and have always wanted to go, but we didn't have one back home." She smiled. "I think that it's so old fashioned for some people nowadays? I'm not sure. But i'm happy I get to experience it." She smiled again.

He shrugged his shoulders a tiny bit. "I guess it is a bit old fashioned but that's kinda why I like it." Jordan admitted to her. He lent his arm against the window seal and looked towards the screen. The movie wasn't on yet so he looked back at her. "Did you do anything interesting today?" He asked her, generally interested.

"I like it too.." She smiled. "It's unique." She said, and started to explain her day. "Not very much. I helped my grandma with some things around the house..and then played guitar." She laughed a little. "Nothing too exciting. What about you?"

"Oh that's nice of you. Writing any new songs? I'd love to hear some someday.". He'd only heard her play briefly once and that wasn't her choice. Jordan wanted the next time he heard her play to be by her choice. "I didn't really do much," He said explaining his day, "I had to work all day.". Jordan was a barrister at Starbucks.

Charlie felt kind of sick thinking about singing in front of Jordan. She had to get over this ridiculous stage fright. she looked at him. "Yeah, I have a few songs i'm working on." she bit her lip. "Yeah, maybe someday." She told him. "Oh, where do you work?" She asked him.

"Come on, you have an amazing voice. Don't hide it." He pushed with a smile on his face. "Starbucks. I'm a barrister there. I make coffee!" Jordan laughed at his enthusiasm. It was such a boring job but his parents made him get it not that he needed the money.

Charlie blushed a little bit. "Thanks." she smiled. "Nice!" she laughed a little. "That's seriously awesome, I'm a coffee addict." "Hos long have you worked there?" she asked him.

"Score!" She laughed a bit. "Ah, i see." "Do you like it there?" She asked, making small talk before the movie. At first she was nervous for the date, but she was really enjoying herself. It was nice getting to know him.

Jordan shrugged his shoulders. "It's alright I guess. I think I would even it more if it was my choice to get the job there.. My parents kind of gave me no choice with it." He sighed. "What about you? Keen to get a job?"

"Oh, I'm sorry." She bit her lip. She wanted to ask why, but she wasn't sure if that would be an acceptable question. "Actually, I've been thinking about getting one. My grandparents need all the help they can get." She explained. "But anyways, at least it's a job like starbucks." she grinned.

"Well, I can hook you up with a job at Starbucks if you wish?" Jordan suggested, smiling. It'd be cute if they worked together plus, she loves Starbucks so she'd enthusiastic to work their, his boss would love that.

"Could you really?" She asked him, and smiled. "That would be absolutely amazing. Thank you!" she hugged him, and then laughed a bit. Trying to hug from the passenger seat is kind of..awkward. haha.

"You're welcome." Jordan grinned. He was glad that she was happy about this. He could hear that the movie was about to start so he turned up the radio. "I'll be right back." He told her. At the back of the drive in there was a concession store with popcorn, soda, lollies, hot chips, anything you could ask for. Jordan got out the car and went and brought a whole heap of stuff. Soda's, popcorn, potato chips, lollies, everything that he thought Charlie might like.
