Jersey was a little bit anxious. Well, of course, why wouldn't you be anxious. Anxiousness was always something that was buzzing around his household, his Mother would always be fretting over California, who had decided to screw up so the tabloids published her nightly failures, and his father would constantly be talking in bitter Swedish to the people halfway across the world that worked for him. All in all, his life was pretty stressful, especially with being the youngest and constantly having his parents give him a glare, as if to say "Well, what are you going to do with your life, Jersey?" You know, the sterotypical little snarl that came with a former pop star mother and a father who really, quite honestly, needed to relax. Take a break and not worry about whatever the hell was going on with his life. But at the same time, Jersey knew that compared to his siblings, he was something of a failure. Nebraska had a show at age fifteen, and Jersey was eighteen and hadn't done anything wth his life, really. Outside of making dumb youtube videos that garnered no hits outside of the "YOU COULD WIN A FREE IPAD" he really didn't have anything going for him. Maybe outside of the fact that he seemed to have a more grounded sense of feeling... He was kind of normal.
But the reason why he was anxious, anyway, was because of Ellie. After living a month with her aunt after her fathers death (Which Jersey could proudly say that was one of the only times he'd worn a suit...). But he'd told her he'd meet her at the airport, on those wonderful skybridges that it seemed every single airport sported. They were always the most fun things, and as a kid, Jersey remembered running around on them whenever he was waiting for his Father to get back from a flight or whatever. He loved airports, but it was probably just because it was seeing someone you hadn't seen in a span of time. And since he loved people... Explained a lot, didn't it? And new experiences. Those were always things that he embraced, and going to an airport could mean traveling and going to a new place, which was a new experience. So sentimentality and new ideas were the things that made an airport. Instantly something Jersey would like.
Which was why as he exited his car and slammed the door shut, making the small parking garage outside of the airport snap with noise, he smiled at the hustle and bustle of it all. He walked up the stairs to the sky bridge and stood there. Her flight had landed a few minutes earlier, so he expected another few minutes. He watched out the glass panes of glass the bridge possessed and wondered why it was even made. It was kind of worthless, indoor bridges and all that. But whatever. To each his own.

"Why are you so acting so weird?" Ellie's fifteen year old sister Abby asked her on the plane ride home. Ellie was sitting on her seat with her legs crossed and fingers tapping on the sides of her chair. What was weird about that?. "Nervous to see your boyfriend?". Ellie just shook the idea off and laughed. Abby was obviously referring to her best friend Jersey. Although she would never admit it, Abby was right on the money. Ellie was super anxious to see Jersey. It was the longest amount of time that they had been apart in years and she just couldn't wait to see him. Although, a lot had changed in Ellie over the last month, appearance wise. She had let her hair grow longer again and it was back to its natural colour of brown. When she'd left to live with her aunt, she had dyed dark red hair. A colour that did not suit her at all.
Finally, Abby and Ellie's plane landed and everyone slowing boarded off the plane. The hassle of retrieving all of the girls luggage seemed to take hours in Ellie's eyes especially with her miss princess sister who had to bring what looked like 60 million bags. Once Abby had gathered all her stuff, she (Ellie) ventured towards the sky bridge with her sister following behind her. She had been told by Jersey that that is where he would meet her so she was definitely in a rush. She was about half way a long the sky bridge when she saw him. Seeing him for just that split second made all the feelings she'd worked so hard to push down, resurface to the top.

Jersey caught the look of someone out of the corner of his eye, and when he turned, he noticed that it was Ellie and her sister, Abby. Abby was one of those people that apparently was spoiled rotten, and Jersey sighed as he saw the twenty million bags that Abby had. But he walked (Ran, even. Well, not ran, but just walked really, really fast...) to the two girls and just smiled happily. "I missed you, Ellie." He said with the biggest smile on his face. And then he went in for an awkward-hug. You know those really awkward ones that were always like... Weird because you were best friends and it just so happened that Jersey liked her? You know those awkward hugs where handshakes were too formal, but were hugs to weird? It was like that, and the hug lasted for a few seconds before Jersey shifted backwards awkwardly and closed his eyes before continuing on.
"Well, you've two missed a lot. Apparently I'm going to be an uncle... Yep, Ohio's having a kid. And California got arrested again... But enough about me... How was England? Did you have tea and scones?" He asked jokingly, smiling at his own little sarcastic joke. Of course, it could be interpreted as being overly strange, but whatever. It was a joke, and Ellie and him were close enough to have that kind of thing where they got each other jokes. But she'd grown out her hair... It looked nice.... He clenched his teeth shut. Don't say anything stupid. Don't... "Ellie, can I say you're the prettiest girl I know? You look really... nice."

Ellie shifted on the spot uncomfortably after Jersey had hugged her. The hug was so.. awkward. It was like, he didn't want to be doing it but he felt that he had to. She hated that. Especially because of her feelings for him, she just sorta wanted to hug him tight and never let go. No. Don't say that. She pushed away the thought. She and Jersey were just friends. Nothing more. That's all he'd ever see her as..
Ellie laughed at Jersey's awkward jokes. Abby thought that he was totally weird, but Ellie thought it was adorable. Jersey's compliment towards her, made her look to the ground and smile. "Ugh, you two, get a room." Abby said as she picked up her bags once again and continued on walking. She wanted to get home. She laughed off her comment while Jersey remained dead silent. He'd been totally weirded out by that comment. Great. Ellie's eyes watched her sister then went back to her best friend. "I've missed you so much. I love being at home in England.. but it's just not the same without you."

"Ugh, you two, get a room." Abby. Sigh. Jersey shook his head at her. "Get a room for what Abigail?" You know, he tried to be sarcastic and he tried to appear intimidating at that moment, or at least a fake intimidation, but no. Instead a faint blush went over his face and he then just smiled and shook his head at himself. Shoe staring contests sounded like a wonderfully pleasant thing at that moment, but that'd be weird and people really don't look at their shoes unless something potentially awkward was happening, and if something awkward had already happened, you really didn't want that said awkward moment to happen again... Jersey sighed and looked out at the California landscape. All palm trees and blue skies. Perfect weather for summer music and ice cream cones.
"I've missed you so much. I love being at home in England.. but it's just not the same without you." Which made Jersey kind of freak out in his mind. Was it... Oh God, that was nice of her. He smiled again, which was really a Jersey thing to do, go in circles of smiling and so forth. "Or are you sure you don't just miss the weather? I mean, opposed to this sunshine, I must be nothing special. But I'll take that as a compliment." He smiled and picked up one of Abby's bags. "I'll carry this for you if you stop being sly, okay?" He nodded towards Ellies irritable little sister and nodded towards the exit of the skybridge. "Cars this way." He added with a smile.

"Or are you sure you don't just miss the weather? I mean, opposed to this sunshine, I must be nothing special. But I'll take that as a compliment.". Ellie playfully pushed Jersey, "You know you're more important to me than anything.". Jersey leaned down and picked up on of Abby's bags. She went to refuse, claiming that he shouldn't have to do this but he wouldn't budge.
Abby and Ellie packed their bags into the back of Jersey's car. Abby had so many bags that a few of them had to sit in the back seat beside her. Ellie was just taking her place in the passenger seat when Rebecca Winter's ran up to the car. Ugh. Abby's annoying friend who was obsessed with Jersey. She could hear Rebecca telling her that her mom was in the car waiting to take her back to her house. Ellie gave the nod towards Abby going and Rebecca turned to her attention towards Jersey. Looking through the side mirrior, she could see that Rebecca was running her hand up and down his arm, flirting?. Was this girl serious?. She's 15. He's 18. Yeah, totally gonna happen. After Jersey payed little attention back to Rebecca, Abby and her ran off to Rebecca's car and Jersey entered the car through the driver door. "Got yourself a little groupie?" She chuckled. Inside, she was steaming with jealousy. Jealousy of her sister's friend?. Wow. Get a grip.

"You know you're more important to me than anything." Jersey rolled his eyes and smiled, with a feeling of "Okay what's going on here but okay". He retorted shortly following the end of the sentence "Except for a good tan." He continued onto her sentences, tacking them to each other. They tended to do that sometimes, and it was something that was pretty fun to do. It was an art form they'd perfected by the time they were twelve, and with the way that they both talked, it worked pretty well. He smiled and as they strolled to the car, with Jersey continuing onto say things that had happened in the month that they were gone. "Oh, and uhm..." He trailed off. He was going to mention Justine for a second, but... That'd just be awkward. You know, Justine Clemens. Daughter of famous 90's drummer, and currently Jersey's.... Girlfriend. As much as it pained him to say it, Justine Clemins. She was controlling, blunt, outrageous and to say the least, someone not to be messed with. And Jersey had thought it was a good idea to date her, just because they had a similar interest in music but she was just outright mean.
Just as Jersey was about to start the car, some friend of Abby's came running up to the car. Jersey was blissfully unaware he had this stalker, he just thought her Mom was busy or whatever, so whenever he was around Abby, he'd drive the two to wherever. Rebecca Winters. The door was opened and Rebecca took a seat behind the drivers seat, and then Jersey entered the car, looking at the steering wheel and fishing keys out of his pocket at the same time. "Got yourself a little groupie?" Jersey looked at Ellie with a confused expression. he was really a naive soul. "Uhm, I don't know. She wanted a ride, I guess?" He mumbled, hoping to make sure nobody but Ellie could hear it. "But yeah. Homeward bound we goooo." [/blockquote]

Jersey drove the car straight to Ellie's place first. The car ride there was filled with awkward silences between the two of that Rebecca and Abby just loved to fill with constant chatter about Justin Bieber. Once the car arrived out front, Abby and Rebecca hopped out and ran inside. Ellie turned to look at Jersey, "Could I be the biggset pain and just hang around your house for a bit? I'm sorry, it's just I don't think I could handle any more Justin Bieber talk.". She put on her puppy dog face, to fit inwith her plee. She knew that it was something that he wouldn't be able to resist.

"Pfft, of course. I respect the guy, but honestly. We can only hear so much about Bieber and his repetitive song lyrics and purple hoodies. He totally ripped off Warped Tour 2008 with that move. He kept it classy" Jersey smiled and opened the car door, stepping out. Of course, he would of held the door if he was thinking about it, but he just then realized something. Shit. Shit. Shit. Standing on the front porch of the house was nobody but the lovely Justine Clemens. Lovely. Jersey smiled at the awkwardness of the situation, giving it the kind of face that it would be, you know, if you were caught in the middle of a traffic jam without anything. Of course Justine was going to ask questions. Why were you driving someone from England around? Why were you even talking to another girl? Jersey sighed and just quietly waved to Justine. And then he trudged up the steps to the house before smiling uncomfortably.
"Who's this, Jersey?" She asked in a typical, stressed out, Justine fashion. "Uhm. It's Ellie. Remember. I told you about her. My best friend... Uhm... Ellie, this is my... girlfriend, Justine. Justine, Ellie." [/blockquote] (OOC note: Click For how I imagine Justine.)

All word's completely escaped Ellie. What do you say to the girlfriend of the guy that you've been in love with for since you were 10?. She turned to look at Jersey, "Oh, y-you got a girlfriend? Congrats!" She tried to say with as much fake happiness as possible. Truthfully, this killed her and she instantly hated her. She could tell from her attitude that she wasn't good for him. But, the main question that pondered her mind was, why hadn't Jersey told her about the girlfriend.. Justine? "So.. uh.. how long has this little romance been, uh, going on for?"

"Oh, y-you got a girlfriend? Congrats!" Jersey cringed and immediately felt like a horrible person. Of course he was going to have to introduce someone he called his best friend and someone he... genuinely liked more than a friend to his so-called girlfriend. But after that comment, Justine immediatley swept in and nudged herself against Jersey. "Oh, thank you... Ellie? Is that your name? Yes, that's what it was. Wasn't it Jersey?" Jersey then looked at his shoes and nodded awkwardly, feeling really bad about whatever the hell was going on here. Of course Justine was going to be clingy. Just like she usually was... "So.. uh.. how long has this little romance been, uh, going on for?"
Jersey thought about it for a second. Three weeks. It seemed like a lot longer.... "Three weeks. And uhm... Thanks, Ellie." He shifted awkwardly and tried to escape from Justines leaning, to no avail.

Ellie felt like a complete idiot for even thinking for a moment that Jersey could possibly have any feelings for her in that way. He had now sent his message loud and clear. He was with Justine.. and she had to be happy for him. Not wanting to look like a loser, she lied, "Oh yeah, speaking of relationships, I met a guy too in England.. and he's thinking of moving over here! Isn't that great?" Ellie smiled a fake grin. That was a lie. Sure it was true, she had met a guy in England.. just no one she would be interested in. But hey, he didn't have to know that. "His name's.. Liam."

You know, Jersey wasn't usually a jealous person. As in, he like... never got jealous. But when the name Liam was brought up about some British guy, he couldn't help but to have a little bit of a twisted expression on his face. Justine then had her phone go off in her pocket, which she rolled her eyes and looked up at Jersey. "I have to go now. Call me tonight, sweetheart?" She stood on her toes and kissed him on the cheek before walking off the porch and walking to her car, which was one of those weird one's that always got wrecked. Smartcars or whatever. And she drove away. Jersey just sighed and looked at Ellie with an apologetic expression. "Uhm, I'm sorry. She's kind of... mean. You... get used to it. So... Uhm, Liam... eh? Does he have tea with the queen and wear handknit socks that his butler makes for him?" Jersey asked shakily, trying to joke, but it really wasn't working.

Ellie watched as Justine drove away. Part of her just hoped that she would never come back. She turned her attention back towards Jersey, who was making jokes about her new.. boyfriend?. "Getting used to a girl's mean qualities isn't something you should have to do.. especially with a girlfriend". She bit her lip. Hoping she hadn't gone too far. "And shut up, Liam's lovely. He's just an average guy. He's not.. posh." She laughed a little. "..He's great.". Oh yeah, okay Ellie. Your fake boyfriend is sooo great.

"Getting used to a girl's mean qualities isn't something you should have to do.. especially with a girlfriend". Jersey reluctantly nodded at that before shaking his head a little "Uhm, I don't know. She's nice sometimes... And she's pretty talented at singing... Uhm... Yeah. Awkwardville, USA. Jersey sighed and crossed his hands behind his back, shifting uncomofrtably. The only other thing to say at that moment would be to make another Brit joke... He pondered it for a second before deciding against it. And then he was for it again. Posh. How posh is he? On a scale of seventeen to cats with monocles?" He asked jokingly, but still uncomfortably. The whole scenario was far from ideal, because you shouldn't have to be awkward with your best friend.
