"Sorry," She said looking down. "Just trying to make conversation.."

"It's ok" he told her. "You don't have to be sorry." He wondered what exactly she was apologizing for. It almost seemed like she had just read his mind, and Zan found that creepy.

"I can just tell you think I'm prying.." She sighed a little.

Dang it! Did she feel bad now? Zan tried to reassure her. "It's ok. If people don't pry into each other's life’s a little bit, then wouldn't everyone kind of be on their own in life and have no friends?"

She shrugged her shoulders a little bit, "I guess you're right.". Ellie smiled and took another sip of her coffee. They ended up walking back to the park and Ellie watched on and she watched his dog run around excitedly when Zan threw him a stick to chase after. It was hard to tell with dog's whether they were old or young and she wondered how long he'd been with Zan. Everytime she saw him, Keiko was right by his side.

(When you wrote "watched on" did you actually mean "walked on".)

(Oops, nah I just repeated myself a bit. It was just meant to be like "Ellie watched on as his dog ran around excitedly when Zan threw him a stick to chase after." but it can be walked if you want to end the thread or something)

(No. That's just what it looked like to me so I thought that maybe you wanted to end it.)
Zan threw the stick and Keiko ran, retrieve it and brought it back for him. Zan turned to Ellie. "Do you want to throw it?" he asked. He wondered if she had ever had a dog before. About four and a half years ago, when his dad came home from work with a puppy he had found on the side of the side of the road, Zan had never been that close to a live animal except for his father's old cat, but now it was hard to imagine not having a dog. He was glad that his dad hadn't been able to resist taking Kekio home, of course Zan was even more happy that his dad had taken him home because without him Zan didn't know where he would be now but it would probably still be with his mom.

Zan handed her the stick and she threw it for Keiko to go after. It reminded her off her old dog. He had looked a lot like Keiko actually. "It's been so long since I've had a dog. I had one when I was younger but then we found out my dad was allergic and we had to give him away.". Since her dad's passing, she had thought about going to the shelter and getting a small one but she had never gotten around to it. "How long have you had yours?" She asked Zan, with a smile on her face as she watched the dog run back with the stick.

"About four, four and a half years" Zan answered. He felt bad that Ellie had had to give her dog away. If he had to give Keiko away he would probably feel as though Keiko were dead. A year ago his father's cat, which he had had for over twenty years, passed away and he had cried, but Zan wasn't too upset because that cat had learned to tolorate him but didn't really like him.

She smiled. Keiko and Zan seemed to have a really good connection. "I thought about getting another dog from a shelter. Y'know give it the good home it deserves." She told him, "Maybe a Jack Russell.. but I hear they yap a lot." Ellie laughed.

"Oh that's cool" he said. He assumed that meant her dad wasn’t around anymore and he wondered why, but he didn't because he hated being asked why his mom wasn't around. "Jack Russell’s are cute, but I doubt that they all yap a lot. It probably depends on which one."
Zan had never been to an animal shelter before. He almost went to one once, because his father was thinking about buying a new cat, but they both agreed that it was a bad idea because if his dad saw a bunch of homeless animals then he would want to keep all of them.

She bit her lip. He seemed to have a bit more knowledge about dogs than she did. "D-Do you think you want to come with?" Ellie asked him with a friendly smile as if to say there was no pressure if he didn't want to go. She thought back to her sister at home, how happy it would make her if Ellie came back with a dog.

Zan was almost shocked to be asked that. He paused and thought about for a few seconds. "Sure" he answered. "If-if you want me too."
