"I think there's something we should talk about.." She sighed. Her eyes stayed glued to the water and she spoke. "Do you remember Jersey? My best friend.. you caught us kissing." "After that, I told you there was more to the story.. The truth is, we were best friends for years and we'd always been in love with each other.. just never admitted it. And now, he's gone away with his family but when he gets back and he finds out I have a boyfriend..". She paused and looked at him, "..I don't know what he'll do.". Ellie bit her lip. He would try to break them up more than likely.

Sean nodded when Ellie asked if he remembered Jersey. Sean couldn't ever forget him. He listened to her talk, and he played with the sand under his fingers. "And now what?" Sean asked, readjusting himself on the sand. "He'll try and be your boyfriend...and you just told me you were in love with him." Sean paused, making Ellie realize what she really just said. Was Sean supposed to take this as a hint? Was this just a short term relationship , and was Ellie just using Sean until Jersey came back? That's all that ran through Sean's mind.

"I think he'll just try and.. Start things up again.. So yeah kind of.." Ellie sighed. He took what she said wrong. "..For a long time I was in love with him.. Until I met you..". That was the truth but she doubted he would believe her.

"Once you loved someone...you either still do, or you never did." Sean stated simply, fidgeting with his fingers. He trusted Ellie completely, but everything she just said would be stuck in his mind forever.

"Then I never did." She promised. "Look, I don't know. All I know is how I feel about you and how I felt about him. Everything I felt for him.. it's in the past.". Ellie's eyes went back out to the water. "I shouldn't have even said anything. All I've done is plant doubt in your mind."

Sean looked to the other side of him, listening to Ellie talk. "Then I trust you completely." Sean looked back to her, moving her hair away from her face. The wind made everything go crazy, and getting closer to the water certainly didn't help.

A smile grew upon her face. "The fact that you trust me with this means more than you know.". Growing up, no one ever trusted her. All they would do is question and doubt everything and did.. Besides Jersey, and now Sean. "..I've got to ask.. Back in Ireland, did you leave someone behind? ..A girl?". She was scared that she was just a rebound from him missing some girl back at his home.

"Honestly?" Sean opened his eyes wide, knowing that sooner or later, Ellie would find out everything about him. "You're the first real girlfriend I've ever had." He stated. "I've just been waiting for that special someone, and I think you're the one I've been waiting for."

"H-How is that possible? You must have had girls at your feet because I mean.. come on." He's insanely good looking. How could he have not have had a girlfriend?. "Well, I haven't had a boyfriend either really." Ellie admitted. "I did get married though. In the third grade. It was a small but beautiful ceremony." She teased.

Sean shrugged. "I never really liked any of the girls back at home. And then I came here and it was so different." He laughed. "How dare you! You're cheating on your husband then...I wonder if he's pissed." Sean looked at Ellie, a childish look on his face.

"He probably is. You better watch out, Joe was quite the muscle man of the playground." She laughed, "He even had a spider man lunch box. It's what made me realise it was love." "And sorry, but you can't compete with that." Ellie grinned.

Sean pretended to cry. "How am I ever going to be better than that guy? Please don't tell me that you're leaving me for him!" Sean pouted towards Ellie.

"It's tempting. I mean I gotta weigh up my options." "You're a cute Irish singer.. and he's got a spider man lunch box.". She pretended to think about it, gazing off into the distance. "It's a clear choice. I've got to go Joe. Cause come on, you know that lunch box is a hit with the ladies."

Sean fell backwards onto the sand, closing his eyes. "My life is ruined!" He covered his face with his hands, occasionally peeking up at Ellie. "How could you?" He frowned.

Ellie leaned over him and pecked him on the fore head. "Okay okay, I choose you. Better?" She grinned.
