"Oh" Zan exclaimed, surprised. He took a closer look at Alison and then turned back to Charlie. "I don't think I saw that movie."
Although he didn't know Charlie very well, he hoped that she wasn't one of those people who worshipped celebrities. Those people were so annoying, and Zan didn't understand what it was that made some people famous or worth celebrating. The only person he had ever met who he thought was really worth celebrating was he adoptive father, and he was certainly not a celebrity.

Victoria simply shrugged her shoulders as if to say that it was no big deal. "Don't worry about it! I'd be more than happy to show you around, Ali!" She giggled and grinned back at her. There was no way that Victoria was going to let this new girl steal her man.

"Great." she smiled, keeping the act going. "Thanks!" she smiled once again. "So what's your favorite place here?" she asked Jordan, smiling.

Charlie nodded. "Honestly, I wouldn't expect you to. It was a chick flick." she laughed a bit. She kept drifting her eyes back to the table that Alison. She was all over Jordan, but Charlie knew she just had to get over it. Everyone's going to like him, and she's never going to be with him. Simple as that. She sighed and looked at Zan. "Hopefully people here don't treat her like a celebrity.."

Zan was glad that Charlie didn't seem to be a celebrity worshipper, but he kept this to herself. "Seems like their already treating her like one" he commented. It seemed that way at first, but when he thought about it he realized that they weren’t treating her as if she were better than them. They were treating her as if she were one of them, although she kind of was because these were the celebrities of the school.

"Well that group basically think they're celebrities...so it makes sense that she'd fit in. Plus Jordan talked to her..it's just the way it works I guess." she admitted and took a bite of her food. "Who knows, she might actually be nice." she said hopefully.

"True. It looked like she might have almost gotten dragged into the preppy peoples click." He sometimes wondered about those types of people. Were they all preps, or did some of them just think they were?
When he was still living with his mom, the only people he ever saw other than her were the people who rented the cabin a few miles away. They would call him names like criminal and wild child, and they were often afraid of him. He would often make them more afraid of him by throwing rocks at them. Then one day, a man who he had thrown a rock at, started hanging away him and told him that he probably wasn't a bad person but just thought he was. That man became Zan's first friend and later his adoptive father.
