It wasn't an easy decision. It wasn't a short, quick, brief decision. After getting out of the hospital, Sean felt empty. Charlie and Jade were still nice to him, and they were more caring to him then he would ever imagine. But without Ellie, it just felt weird. Was this really what the town would be like if he never met her? Every time he tried calling home, they were sleeping or busy, and vice versa.
So Sean took most of his saved up money, and bought a first class ticket to the closest airport to Mullingar, which was in Dublin. It wasn't a direct flight, and there was one stop in Texas, another in New York, and finally it would land in Dublin. Then he needed to take a taxi back home. His parents didn't know he was doing it. He wasn't too sure if his friends knew. He wasn't staying permanently, he just needed a break.
The flight from Kingswood to Texas wasn't too bad. There were no crying babies, no annoying people, and he slept most of the time, which was good because he was losing sleep every night. He kept taking medications, but no matter what he did, he felt the pain of everything.
From Texas to New York, Sean hesitated. What was going on in New York? Something felt so familiar about the name. Maybe it was one of the biggest city in the world? And then it hit him. Ellie was here. He got off the plane, wondering if he should leave the airport. But what would be the odds that he would find her in a huge place like this? Maybe she was leaving New York? Maybe she wasn't even in New York anymore? He stood outside the airport, wondering what he should do.

Ellie had been called back to the airport, saying there was some issue with her flight back home. She went down to one of the front desks and had to get another flight booked in a few days time as her other one was cancelled. That meant she would be staying a few extra days.
Ellie walked outside of the airport to a cold windy New York city to see a familiar dyed blonde hair boy standing in front of her. She walked around to see the other side of him to be sure. It was Sean. She bit her lip, unsure of what to say.

As Sean stood outside, unsure of where to go or what to do, he tried getting back in the airport, but he walked out of an 'exit only' door. He sighed, and turned around to go the other way, and what were the odds...but Ellie was standing right there. He stopped in his tracks and wanted to just run up to her and hug her like you'd see someone do in the movies. But this wasn't a movie...this was his real life. He just wished everything would go back to normal, but nothing could. He was sick, and she was going to some fancy dance school thousands of miles away. They stared at each other for a minute, and Sean felt like throwing up. "Um, hi." He finally whispered, folding his arms nervously across his chest.

Ellie felt positively sick as they paused, just staring at each other for a few moments. Sean broke the silence and Ellie cleared her throat unable to speak. Why had he come to New York? To see Ellie? ..No. She then remembered what Charlie had said, he was talking about going back to Ireland. She frowned and bit her lip. "H-Hey, How are you feeling..?" She asked him.

"Still weak, but better." Sean stated, the wind carrying his voice away. "How's New York been?" He bit his lip. What a dumb question. She was an amazing dancer, and that's what she came here for.

"It's been.. great. Uh, I met up with the head of the dance department at Julliard." She told him. "It's amazing there.. and they really want me to go.". She paused. This was beyond awkward. Honestly, she still wasn't sure if she was gonna take the scholarship yet. The whole reason she had basically wanted to stay in Kingswood was because of Sean but since the whole break up, she was becoming more happier with the idea of leaving. But still, she didn't want to leave Sean while he was still fragile.. "So, I hear.. you're going back home?". She frowned.

"I always knew they would want you there." Sean quickly admitted. "You're an amazing dancer, it's no surprise." He quietly stated. He listened to her talk, and thought about his response before actually speaking. "Just for four days. I like this town. I like the people. I just don't know if I should stay here...with this condition...and I just practically made everyone hate me. Home might be better."

Ellie felt a slight smile coming across her face when he said she was an amazing dancer. She looked to the ground and bit her lip. He was so sweet. She looked back up at him, "No one hates you." She instantly shot back at him. Ellie knew that once he went back to his town, he wouldn't want to return to Kingswood and that made her so sad. "..I don't hate you." She mumbled doubting that her opinion even meant anything to Sean anymore.

Sean immediately looked up at Ellie, feeling a little bit of hope. But everything was just so awkward. "I don't hate you either...what I said in the hospital...I didn't really mean it..." He took long pauses between all of his phrases. "But everything just crashed. My world...crashed...it's gone. And I just don't need to lose another part of it." He said, talking about Ellie.

Her thoughts went back to the hospital where Sean had been shouting around about how he hated all of the group. Something that had hurt her badly. She shook off what he was saying, not wanting to get caught up into it. "You'll be fine without me." She whispered quietly. "So how long until your flight to Mullingar goes out?"

Sean shook his head, tears coming to his eyes. He looked away quickly, not wanting Ellie to catch him crying. "I won't ever be fine without you...and no one will ever get why. I don't even know why fully. You're just someone I can't ever lose." He said all in one breath, and then he held his breath for a moment after. He checked his phone, and counted the hours in his head. "About three and a half hours."

She looked back at Sean, listening to what he had to say. He missed her.. And she mised him. She felt her tears coming up her throat. "Yeah, well things can never be the same. You did that, so." Ellie said choaking back the tears beginning to form. "Three and a half hours, that's a long time to stay the airport. You can come and stay in my hotel room until you needa go back.. If you wish." "Unless you have somewhere better to go." she shrugged a bit.

Sean could practically hear his heart cracking in half. "Things can never be the same. You did that, so." Why was he so dumb? Why couldn't this stupid sickness just kill him already? "I.." He paused, closing his eyes for a second. "Don't know." He rubbed his eyes. "Do you see how tense this whole thing is with us Ellie? This is ridiculous! Everything just got ruined the second I blurted out my biggest secret...if I just kept it a little longer, we'd still be that adorable couple that everyone's jealous of. Do you see why I had to keep it to myself?" He said, speaking faster than he ever did before. "I hate this all as much as you do, but do you see what it's doing to us?"

"Look, it doesn't matter to me if you're sick or that you kept it from me.. I love you all the same. It's just you shouldn't focus on things like relationships when you could potentially...". She couldn't even bring herself to say the word. Just thinking about it made her want to just break down or throw up. She bit her lip as she realised what she had said. She had just admitted to his face that she loved him. Oh no. "..There's just no us anymore.."

Sean listened carefully. "I don't want there to be no us." He mumbled. "I still love you, Ellie." He barely moved his lips, knowing anything he would say would be ineffective.
