Letting her long dark hair, fall down neatly to her side, Jade dropped her towel that was wrapped around her exposing her light blue and purple floral two piece bikini.
She stood on the sand, taking in the ocean's view. She let it consume her. The beach was usually the only place that she find peace away from all burdens running through her mind but today, not even the sweet sound of the ocean crashing against the rocks could soothe her from the heart break she was feeling.
The thought of another suicide attempt dawned heavily upon her, she let it take over. Running towards the water, she dived in. No one would notice. They would think that she was just going in for a swim. How were they to know that she was refusing to pull herself up?. She thought about what it would be like for her family when they found her. They would just think it was a simple accident. Their minds would be at ease. They wouldn't have to worry about thinking it was murder or wondering why Jade would do this to herself. It was an accident. Plain and simple.
Jade let the water take her. Her throat was burning, as her lungs began to fill with water. Black dots began to cover her vision. Her instincts was to go back up and gasp for air but she put every bit of strength into fighting that until eventually she felt herself slowly fading away.

Lily was walking on the beach, as her dad unloaded the car with their luggage. She was walking, and dipped her toes in the freezing cold water. It was definitely way too cold to go for a swim. Surprisingly, she saw someone jump in the water. Lily thought she was just going for a swim, until she kept walking and realized the girl never came back up. Lily looked around for a lifeguard, or any guy that could help, but the beach was basically deserted. She looked around once more..no one. She took a deep breathe and braced herself as she jumped into the freezing cold water. She searched for the girl who was drowning, and eventually found her. She grabbed her, and tried swimming back to shore. Thankfully, they weren't too far out. She pulled her up to the sand, and waited for the girl to breathe. Lily was freaking out, until the girl coughed up some water. Good..she was alive.

Jade started to regain consciousness, seeing a unfamiliar girl peering over her to see if she was okay. At first she was angry that she had been pulled out of the water but how was this girl to know that she had a death wish?. Sitting up, she forced out a smile, "Thanks for that.. I don't know what happened.." Jade said, pretending to be thankful.

"No problem." she told her. "You would have been out faster, but there was no one around to help. Some life guard duty." she sighed. "Did the current drag you out?" she asked.

She paused. That was probably a better excuse. "I guess it did.". "So, are you new around here? I haven't seen you round before."

Lily nodded her head. "Literally just stepped foot in this town." she told the girl. "Are you sure you don't need anything? Like a doctor or something?" she asked.

"Oh okay.." Lily dropped the subject. "Nice to meet you. I'm Lily." she grinned. "So, how long have you lived here?" she asked.

Lily seemed really friendly. She thought that they would get along nicely. "On and off all my life." She told her with a smile on her face. "Where are you from?"

"Nice!" "Where else have you lived? since you said on and off." Lily asked. "I'm from Florida" she smiled.

"I kind of transfer from here and Australia every few months." She told her, "Divorced parents and all of that.". Jade smiled, "Ooh Florida. I've always wanted to go there. That's so cool."

"Oh wow. Okay nothing beats Australia." she told her. "Honestly, Australia vs. Florida, Australia wins. I've been there once and I wish i lived there!" she told her.

"Really?" Jade scrunched up her nose. She really liked Australia but Florida had always been a dream place for her to go. "..Do you need any helping unpacking any of your things?" "I'd be happy to help." She offered.

"Really!" She laughed. "Florida's nothing compared to it!" she told her. "Oh, no you don't have to do that." she told her. "honestly, I don't think my dad's gonna start unpacking yet. It was a long drive." she laughed.

"Are you sure? Because I'd be more than happy to lend a hand." Jade smiled being 100% genuine. She liked being friendly to new comers. They had it difficult and Jade could completely sympathise with that.
